Apex Legends Player Has Interesting Idea To Buff Revenant's Ultimate

Live service titles are no strangers to evolution through frequent updates. Where games like Call of Duty: Warzone and Fortnite began to where they are years later can often feel like night and day through all of the updates, additions, and changes that take place. Not all changes are truly welcomed by the community, especially when nerfs are involved. Destiny 2 has a long history of unfavorable changes, especially to situations that give players an advantage over the AI.

Character focused games like Apex Legends are in a similar boat, especially as the meta continues to change with new additions to the roster. Certain characters may suddenly find themselves incredibly popular, while others are instant replaced and at the bottom of the popularity chart. One such character appears to be the synthetic assassin known as Revenant. Originally introduced way back in Season 4, Revenant has seen its ups and downs, though many fans are hoping Respawn performs a rework on its abilities to improve the pick rate.

One fan posted their idea on the Apex Legends subReddit, detailing how Revenant's ultimate ability could be made even more strong. Currently, Death Totem provides teammates with an instant revive after being fatally damaged. Instead of needing a revive, downed players are instead revived at the totem. While that's already pretty solid on paper for the many team based modes, a user known as XxGAMERZxKINGxX provided an alternative idea that has seemingly become pretty popular with other players.

Essentially, Death Totem would become a charge move, similar to Valkyrie's Skyward Dive ultimate. Instead of teleporting players back, Revenant and any nearby teammates would instead become shadows with a brief period of invulnerability. The benefit here is that using this would allow the team to reposition rather than be sent back to a singular static location.The tradeoff here is that after the ability ends, players wouldn't be able to instantly use abilities or weapons just like Wraith as she exits her portal.

While the idea hasn't won over everyone, most feel like this is something Respawn should at least consider. While there's nothing on the horizon for major overhauls to characters like Revenant, especially with Season 13 right around the corner, it hasn't stopped fans from highlighting other characters in need of a boost. Lifeline has also been in the spotlight lately, with fans looking to make her Care Package ultimate more unique. One Apex Legends fan proposed adding red rarity level items, each with their own unique mechanics like a Red Knockdown shield which adds a protective dome around the downed player.
