Apex Legends: Defiance kicks off in February and will be the latest season of new content added to the game across PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch platforms.

Developers Respawn Entertainment has already started sharing what will be included, and the good news for gamers is that they won’t be skimping on the content.

According to the early patch notes, Apex Legends Season 12 will add a new Battle Pass, playable character, LTM mode, and map changes.

The big draw will be the introduction of Mad Maggie, a character introduced into Apex law last year.

The good news is that all of this new stuff will be available to experience in a few weeks, with Respawn confirming their rollout plans earlier this week.

WHEN DOES APEX LEGENDS SEASON 12?

Developers Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that the Apex Legends Season 12 release date has been scheduled for February 8, 2022.

No set time has been revealed for when the big update will drop, but fans can probably expect a patch to download before 6pm GMT.

Another message from Respawn suggests the above unlock time, as this will be when the game’s three-year anniversary will begin.

A message from the Apex team explains: “Celebrate the third Anniversary of Apex Legends with three weeks of rewards! Jump into Apex Legends: Defiance and for a limited-time earn Legends, Thematic packs, and a Legendary pack.

“Already have the Legends unlocked? Don’t worry, you’ll still get the Thematic packs and the Legendary pack.

“So be sure to jump in when Apex Legends: Defiance launches on February 8th and start claiming your rewards.

Apex Legends: Emergence gameplay trailer revealed

“Each week’s rewards are limited to one redemption per EA Account. Offer has no cash value and may not be substituted, exchanged, or sold for cash, goods, or services. May not be combined with other offers or prepaid cards redeemable for the applicable content unless expressly authorized by EA.

“Week 1: Offer starts at 10am PT on February 8th and end at 9:59am PT on February 15th.”
