Apex Legends Season 15 Release Date - The Loadout

When was the Apex Legends Season 15 release date? Boasting a new legend, a brand new map, and a bunch of extra additions, Apex Season 15 was a bit of a banger to say the least when it came to dropping fresh content on PlayStation and Xbox.

Below, you can find a rundown of the biggest new additions to Apex, as well as when the battle royale game's goth-themed 15th season - Eclipse - began.

Apex Legends Season 15 release date

The Apex Legends Season 15 release date was November 1, 2022 on PlayStation and Xbox. Eclipse ran until February 14, 2023 when it was superseded by Season 16, Revelry.

Eclipse had a goth theme to it, and while goth life is never just a phase (sorry, mom), it did unfortunately have to come to an end in Apex. Nonetheless, Season 15 blessed us with plenty of cosmetic goodies that kept the Halloween vibes going well beyond October 31.

Catalyst also marked the introduction of stickers - cosmetics that can be stuck to regen items such as Med Kits, Shield Cells, and Phoenix Kits.

Apex Legends Season 15 new legend

The new Legend introduced in Apex Legends Season 15 was Catalyst. Catalyst is the game's first trans character and is described as a "terraformer and defensive conjurer."

Apex Legends Season 15 new map

Apex Legends' Season 15 introduced Broken Moon - a map of similar size to World's Edge. Broken Moon sports 16 POIs which offer a wide range of area sizes. A few are almost twice as large as the POIs from previous maps.

Within the map, there are zip rails connecting locations which allow for quick and effective rotations around points and between areas. Although, as you would expect, these leave you very exposed. In addition, the map's structure is a combination of barren landscapes, terraformed environments, and industrial complexes to fight in.
