Apple RGB VS Color LCD

Those tone differences are the exact differences that make those two different profiles. Profiles are color corrections in a sense, they make sure that the color you capture with your camera is what you see on screen and is what you see on your printer and in your scanner. They calibrate all your equipment so that consistent colors are obtained. The generally accepted "standard" in the world of photography is usually the Adobe RGB (1998) profile. Unless you are very serious about photography / graphic arts, I wouldn't really bother playing around with these settings. A lot of them only change subtle things (such as the particular shade of green) and in the end won't make THAT big a difference to a non-pro. ReplyLink
