It’s been more than two years since a new season of Are You the One? has aired, but many of the show’s stars have remained in the reality television zeitgeist thanks to social media and appearances on other shows, such as The Challenge.
Are You the One? is a dating experiment that premiered on MTV in 2014. The show uses a matchmaking algorithm to secretly pair up couples, with contestants then tasked with trying to determine who their “perfect match” is. Throughout filming, the cast works together to figure out all 10 perfect matches for a chance to win $1 million to split between themselves.
The show aired for eight seasons until 2019, and was then revived for Season 9 on Paramount+ in 2023. After filming, some couples from the show (although, not necessarily perfect matches) were able to make their relationships work in the real world. Amber Lee & Ethan Diamond
Season 1 perfect match Amber Lee and Ethan Diamond tied the knot in 2014. They didn’t have an actual wedding at the time, so they held a ceremony for their 10-year anniversary in September 2024.
The couple is parents to two daughters and a son.
Jenni Knapmiller & Curtis Hadzicki
Jenni Knapmiller and Curtis Hadzicki weren’t a perfect match on Season 2. In fact, they were involved with other people while filming the show.
However, they started dating in 2015, with Hadzicki popping the question in 2020. The couple went on to tie the knot in 2022, and now mostly keep their lives off of social media.
Clinton Moxam & Uche Nwosu
In September 2021, Clinton Moxam and Uche Nwosu from Season 6 got married. The two were not a “perfect match” per the AYTO algorithm, but they still formed a connection on the show and started dating after filming ended.
Cali Trepp & Tomas Buenos
Cali Trepp and Tomas Buenos were on Season 7 and were not a perfect match. However, they couldn’t deny their love for one another, and began a relationship. In 2022, they got married.
Mikala Thomas & Joe Torgerson
Mikala Thomas and Joe Torgerson weren’t on the same season of Are You the One? (she came from Season 4, while he’s from Season 6), but they met after he filmed the show and have since gotten engaged.
Carolina Duarte & Cam Bruckman
Carolina Duarte and Cam Bruckman, from Seasons 5 and 4, respectively, got married in 2021 and welcomed a daughter, Elaine, in 2022.
