Mexican singer of narco corridos and norteno music, Ariel Camacho, suffered a fatal car crash  early on the morning of February 25, 2015 and passed away . This tragic accident occurred in Angostura, Sinaloa going on a curve through Angostura- La Reforma after leaving a concert in Mexico. His record company did not confirm his death until the Thursday morning of February 26, 2015 . Camacho was returning from his concert, Carnaval de Mocorito. He was traveling with with 3 other people in the same vehicle. Two of the other passengers also passed away and only one passenger, who is thought to be Camacho’s girlfriend, survived .

Ariel Camacho had recently released an album titled, “El Karma” on DEL Records with his band Los Plebes Del Rancho. Ariel Camacho was known as the famous singer of Norteno music. Camacho was especially recognized for his guitar skills and vocals. His fans loved his narco corridos that talked about drug trafficking. A day before his death, Camacho posted a video on instagram and facebook inviting “all the beautiful young ladies ” as he use to say, to his next concert but little did he know that he would not make it to his next concert. After the record label confirmed his death,  they  posted a video on facebook of his fans singing one of his biggest hits,  “Te Metiste”.  People couldn’t believe this had happened to him at such a young age when he was just  beginning his successful career. Many people were devastated and grieved over his death.

“My heart is broken by the loss of Ariel Camacho. I knew he was going to transform the genre in Mexico and the United States. Millions of people would have become fans and would have gotten to know the man I did,” DEL Records president, Angel Del Villar said .

Camacho was considered one of the best singers of romantic songs and corridos. At such a young age, Camacho’s debut album had peaked at No. 1 in March’s list of Hot Latin Songs. Fans think it was such a shame to watch him go as his career was barely starting and he had already accomplished so much. His fans were very expectant of his future and his career achievements. Unfortunately, Camacho’s unexpected death ended his career and potential enduring legacy.chamacho 000camacho 8
