I'm 6'2". I've heard rumors that I'm really much shorter in real life - like 5'6" or something like that - which is ridiculous. I can assure you this is not the case. People look up to me, and not just because I do a lot of work in the community. I mean, most people really LOOK UP to me.

Many people who have met him in his early career have said he was between 6ft 1 and 2, although a genuine 6ft 3 man like Kevin Sorbo thought differently, saying with a straight face: "Arnold Schwarzenegger's about 5-11...yeah he says he's Six Three". This estimation is shared by respected actor Richard E. Grant who said "I meet the financial and physical 'muscle' of Tinsletown, in the persons of Mr Stallone and Mr Schwarzeneger...both of whom are substantially shorter than six foot."Jon Meade said Arnie told him in a 1980 interview he was "6ft 1.5" and bodybuilder Vince Basille gave an insight into a young Arnie's height in an email to me, in which he described how he personally measured Arnie in 1969 at 6ft 1.5.Arnold has also stated that he was "6ft 1 and 3/4" but in his 60's shrunk to 6ft 1, as measured by his daughter and in 2013 mentioned he was down to a worrying 6ft 1/2 inch. In his book 'Education of a Bodybuilder' he also mentioned his Top Form Measurements were: "Arms 22in, Chest 57in, Waist 34in, Thighs 28.5in, Calves 20in, Weight 235 lbs, Height 6 feet 2 inches". However, I've also gone down as low as 175 cm after a long full day. All in all, I'm still a solid 178cm more or less each time I've measured myself. Which goes to show and which tells me that Arnold could've been as tall as 187 cm in the mornings. A 185 cm measurement throughout the day and possibly all the way down to 182 cm after a long day. From 6 feet down to 5'10" and a half is a lot, but plausible. Losing 3 entire inches due to old age is pretty rare. Just look at Neil Flynn for example, guy's over 60 and still 6'5". I'm going with Arnold being a 6' maybe 6' and a half flat kinda guy. The guy who measured him added an extra inch out of kindness or whatever, and he (Arnold) usually claimed an extra inch or two. I think his height loss has just been a slow burner and from the mid 2000's he's just lost a fraction more each year rather than a huge chunk at any point.
