Studio Programs

Studio programming is open weekdays after school, 3:30 pm until 7:30 pm, and 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm in July and August. Facilitated by Art City staff, program assistants and volunteers, art media and themes change from week to week and feature frequent collaborations with guest artists based on their respective art practices.  July - August Monday - Thursday2:30 pm - 6:30 pm September - June Monday - Friday 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Healthy Meal Program

Each evening, Art City serves a healthy, home-cooked meal enjoyed by programming participants. Planned and prepared by Art City Food Services Coordinator. In July and August, our Healthy Meal Program expands to include breakfast and lunch.   Every Day!

Art City Outside

Art City Outside is open weekdays between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm in July and August. Facilitated by Art City staff, program assistants and volunteers, art media and themes change from week to week and feature frequent collaborations with guest artists based on their respective art practices. Indigenous Art Program

Indigenous Art Program is scheduled on Fridays, 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm, September to June and Fridays, 10:30 am to 2:30 pm in July and August. Led by instructor Kiana Fontaine, the Indigenous Art Program features traditional and contemporary art programming and collaborations with guest artists and knowledge keepers. September - JuneFriday3:30 pm - 7:30 pm July - AugustFriday10:30 am - 2:30 pm

Film Photography

Film Photography is scheduled on Mondays, 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm, September to June, and 10:30 am to 2:30 pm in July and August. Led by instructor Natalie Baird, participants learn how to use film cameras and work with darkroom chemistry and equipment to develop film and create black and white prints. Digital Art

Digital Art is scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm, year-round. Led by instructor Ron Perez, participants learn to use a wide variety of digital media equipment and programs to create artwork, including visual art, music, animation and 3D printed sculptures. Ceramics

Ceramics is scheduled on Tuesdays and Fridays, 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm, year-round. Led by instructor Margaret Glavina, participants learn to hand-build, throw on the wheel, and glaze their work so it is ready to fire in our kiln. Drawing Club

Art City Drawing Club (ACDC) is scheduled on Thursdays, 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm, year-round. Led by instructor Margaret Glavina, participants learn the fundamentals of drawing and build their skills. September - June Thursday 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm July - AugustThursday2:30 pm - 6:30 pm  ARTsquad is a registration-based visual arts program for youth between the ages of 12-15. This program is designed to engage participants in fun, meaningful experiences, build friendships, and develop leadership skills. ARTSquad members will earn a small honorarium at the end of the program based on their participation. This program is free, all materials are included and a healthy meal is provided every session.Keep an eye out for upcoming intake sessions.
