Art Clay Silver is a precious metal clay which looks and feels like ordinary sculpting or porcelain clay with fine particles of pure silver mixed with a non-toxic organic binder. When fired the binder burns out leaving a fine silver piece, which can be hallmarked as fine silver. This 10gm Silver Paste is a new formulated Silver Clay combining the best features from the 3 former types of Art clay - easy moulding from the Original Formula, slow drying from the Slow Dry Formula, and a low firing temperature from the 650 range. The new formula has a better workability and longer working time, retains and accepts moisture easier than existing clay types, keeping supple and easier to reconstitute, and also carves and files easier in the dry stage.This brand new formula also works as an adhesive for firing two fired Art Clay pieces together, firing a dried piece and fired Art Clay piece together. Art Clay Silver paste is used to glue (wet or dry) clay parts together, for repairing cracks and filling in marks and bumps. Art clay paste can also be used to add texture. In addition the paste can be painted onto a burnable core, like a leaf or cork clay, to create a fine replica. Please note this is not suitable for pieces made of Art Clay Gold together, and not suitable for firing pieces of Art Cay silver and Art Clay Gold together.
