Art in the Village, Juried Art Fair
The North Shore Art League seeks artists for a juried art fair, June 13 & 14, 2026 at Hubbard Woods Park in Winnetka, IL. $3,000 in awards. This show is open to artists 18 years of age and older, on a national basis, who submit images for jurying. Work must be original, executed by the artist, and have been done in the last two years. The Brea Gallery in Brea, CA seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, April 25 - June 28, 2026. The International 2026
Artists worldwide are invited to submit artwork for the 28th annual "The International" portrait competition, that will showcase the finest in portraiture and figurative art today. Over $170,000 in cash and awards will be presented, with a $50,000 cash Grand Prize. All winners will receive recognition in International Artist magazine, The Art of the Portrait journal and on the Portrait Society's website. A variety of mediums is encouraged and welcomed. The Lillian Orlowsky and William Freed Grant is awarded annually to under-recognized American painters over the age of 45 who demonstrate financial need. Awards include a cash grant, ranging from $5,000 to $36,000 and an exhibition at PAAM (Provincetown Art Association and Museum in Provincetown, MA) in Spring 2028. For the purposes of this grant, painting is considered the application of various wet media (oil, acrylic, gouache, ink, tempera, watercolor, egg tempera, casein, enamel) on paper, canvas, fabric, or wood. This includes fresco. This excludes mixed media, encaustic, collage, dry pastels, digital paintings, prints, and work in graphite or drawings. The use of multiple paint mediums is allowed (ie mixing acrylics with oil paints). Do not submit images in any of these excluded mediums. Only paintings will be considered. No fee.
