Atlanta Pride is celebrated as one of the largest and longest-standing pride parades in the United States. Held annually in mid-October, typically on a weekend close to National Coming Out Day, Atlanta Pride—formerly known as the Atlanta Gay Pride Festival—holds a special place as a cornerstone of our vibrant city. It brings together the community for a week-long celebration dedicated to love, diversity, and acceptance.

Schedule of Events

Atlanta Pride Festival is held at Piedmont Park. The weekend extravaganza features live music, art exhibits, and an arts and crafts Marketplace with over 200 vendors. Other activities of Pride weekend include Dyke March and Trans March, as well as Pride Car and Motorcycle Show. In alignment with our celebration, the Out on Film gay film festival provides a platform to showcase stories and experiences within the LGBTQIA+ community. The Marketplace is the heart of our festival, open both days from 10 am until 10 pm. Hosting over 300,000 people throughout the weekend, you'll find opportunities for connection, education, and advocacy.

Atlanta Pride Parade (October 13, 2024)

The main event of the weekend is the Atlanta Pride Parade. It begins at noon on Sunday near the Civic Center MARTA Station in Atlanta. From there, the Parade goes to Peachtree Street, travels north, turns east to 10th Street, and finishes at the Charles Allen Gate entrance of Piedmont Park. Spectators line the streets to watch a dazzling march full of colorful costumes, music, and floats.

Marches Routes (October 12, 2024)

Every year, the annual Trans March, Dyke March, and Bi + Pan March take place on Saturday, bringing participants together at the Charles Allen Gate of Piedmont Park. A theme of inclusivity and empowerment unites these events. Starting at the Charles Allen Gate, the marches proceed along 10th St towards Peachtree Street, where they turn right. They then make another right onto 14th St, concluding at the 14th St. Gate, creating a powerful statement of visibility and solidarity within the community.

Lineup

Global pop sensation Ava Max is set to headline the 2024 Atlanta Pride Festival on Saturday at Atlanta's Piedmont Park. The festival, themed "United With Pride," aims to celebrate love, diversity, and music memorably. Attendees can also anticipate a diverse lineup featuring entertainers, community activists, and local artists all joining together in solidarity, "United with Pride."

Tickets

Attendees of Atlanta Pride have the option to choose from several ticket packages. The Saturday Premium Pass is priced at $99, while the Sunday Premium Pass costs $89. For those looking to enjoy the entire weekend, the Weekend Premium Pass is available for $149. Each Premium Pass provides access to the Atlanta Pride Festival Premium Lounge, offering exclusive amenities and a comfortable retreat during the festivities.

History of Atlanta Pride

Founded in 1971, the Atlanta Pride Committee is Georgia's oldest nonprofit organization serving the LGBTQ community. It acts as a vital advocate and resource for gender and sexually diverse communities in Atlanta and across the Southeastern United States. The annual festival celebrating gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender pride began with a historic march down Peachtree Street and now draws approximately 300,000 attendees each year.

Atlanta Pride, originally commemorating the Stonewall Uprisings in June, shifted its date several years ago due to park and drought regulations in Atlanta. It has now become the largest National Coming Out Day observance in the country, featuring a month-long series of Stonewall Month events in June.
