Attack On Titan: Levi's 10 Best Moments, Ranked - DualShockers

A slightly under-average height clean fleak, Levi Ackerman is branded humanity's strongest soldier. Throughout the series, Levi turns the familiar feeling of hopelessness against titans into making them a mild annoyance. While he isn't the most talkative, his actions speak much louder.

He isn't one of nine titan shifters, but he makes it clear he ranks far above almost all of them in combat ability. Whenever Levi is on screen, it's time to pay attention as you can be sure something amazing is about to happen.

10/10 Beating Eren

Levi Kicking Eren In The Face

At this point, Levi has only been shown in a few scenes, and his level of authority has not been clearly established. Seeing a new character beat the main character to a pulp while he's chained up definitely set Levi's tone for the show.

Not only did he beat Eren, but he continued to for quite a while. Everyone in the courtroom looked on in shock and didn't move a muscle to stop Levi, and this quickly demonstrated Levi's respect amongst the different factions within the walls.

9/10 Fighting The Scout Regiment

Levi Fighting Off Scout Regiment

Taking place in an OVA of Levi's origins, this scene shows that Levi's power is heavily based on his natural talent. Without any training on ODM gear, he not only outrun the highly trained Scout regiment but also hold his own in hand-to-hand combat with only a knife.

Not only does Levi start to win the fight against the Scouts, but it is also revealed the Scout he is fighting is Miche, humanity's second strongest soldier to Levi in Season 2. Levi demonstrates his ability to use ODM on par with the trained Scouts and his superior combat ability, which Erwin quickly takes notice of.

8/10 Levi's Introduction

Levi Fighting with ODM gear and Swords

Until this point in the show, titans are shown as a nearly unstoppable force. In the battle for Trost district, only a few titans are shown being defeated and at a heavy loss of life by the cadets. Jumping to the Scout regiment outside of the walls, Levi is shown quickly and effortlessly dispatching two titans.

Not only does Levi dispatch these titans, but it also shows different ways for ODM gear and swords to be used. In this scene, Levi uses his classic spin move, constantly berating the Titans, making them seem much less threatening than they have before.

7/10 Levi vs. Beat Titan Round 3

Levi with Thunder Spears Fighting Beast Titan

While the second rematch didn't count as Zeke purposely threw the fight, this was the true rematch. While their first fight took only a matter of seconds, Zeke seemed more confident and seemed to learn from before. Despite knowing how Levi fights, Levi still cleaned up this fight in seconds.

Time after time, this show demonstrates how powerful Levi is, and we are again, impressed. Levi shows he has incredible strength and fights with his head to distract the Beast titan. This fight only further demonstrates that whenever a titan is involved, they stand no chance against Levi Ackerman.

6/10 Levi Vs. Female Titan

Levi Holding Eren Escaping from Female Titan

Seeing the Female Titan wipe out many Scouts, including the Levi Squad, showed this Titan was on a different level. While we knew Levi was the strongest soldier, this was the fight that continued to prove that point to the views. Having set up a powerful villain for the first season, many would have assumed this fight wouldn't have been so quick.

Mikasa was present during this fight, but Levi didn't need any help. Each of his attacks was precise and demonstrated he knew how to break a titan down as he fought it. Targeting muscles, he was able to get Eren back, with his injury only being because Mikasa failed to focus.

5/10 Levi's Rage

Levi Distraught seeing Dead Comrades

While Levi's OVA showed his first experience with titans, it showed that even from the start, he doesn't flinch. This abnormal titan also explains why Levi is so cold and values his team over everything. After losing his two closest friends, Levis changes into the stern yet confident soldier we know from the show.

This fight also demonstrated how fast Levi can be and how brutal he can become. While he knew how to kill a titan, he instead gave this titan a thousand cuts before finally finishing it off. Hitting an abnormal titan even once is a feat; what Levi did, is unimaginable to a regular soldier.

4/10 Beating Kenny

Kenny Stops Levi With A Knife

This rematch was much more emotional after learning more about who Kenny is and what he means to Levi. Kenny was a father figure, but that didn't cause Levi to hesitate. Fighting a man who trained to kill Scouts, with weapons to kill Scouts, showed nothing anyone could do can stop Levi.

This was one of the few fights Levi had an emotional attachment to. Previously Levi had been emotionless, no matter how grave the situation. Against Kenny, he goes through a range of emotions as he doesn't want to kill Kenny but knows what must be done.

3/10 Speech To Erwin

Attack on Titan Speech to Erwin

For a usually emotionless character, this speech from Levi not only moved Erwin but everyone watching too. Erwin poured out his hopes and dreams for the world while looking in the face of defeat. Despite this, Levi knows what must be done, tells his best friend to give up and to run towards his death.

Before leaving Erwin to assured death, Levi makes a promise that becomes his driving factor in the final season. Recalling all the sacrifices made until now, Levi accepts the bleak world and how he won't be able to protect even his closest friends. Despite the world ending in the last part of season 4, Levi's promise to Erwin is what matters to him most.

2/10 Levi Vs. Beast Titan

Levi Attacks Beast Titan

Following the Scout's bitter charge at the Beast Titan, Levi finally gets to fight the beast titan one-on-one. Having established the beast titan as the strongest titan, we thought he would even put up a bit more of a fight against Levi. That was before this fight was over 30 seconds later.

Even if the Beast Titan is the strongest titan shifter, Levi has snapped seeing the Scouts and Erwin being wiped out. Now carrying the weight of his promise to Erwin, Levi gives everything in this fight. Not only is this scene one of Levi's best, but it is easily one of the best scenes in the show.

1/10 Levi Escapes Kenny Squad

Levi Being Chased by Kenny

After two seasons of fighting Titans, Kenny's squad switches the script introducing human vs. human combat. Kenny's squad was created and trained to fight the Scout regiment, and Kenny himself taught Levi. This is one of Attack on Titan's most expensive scenes to animate, and you can see how incredible this scene looks.

Anime suffers from intense fight scenes causing the animation to fall off (cough cough Pain vs. Nine Tails Naruto). This scene is the opposite, as one continuous fight scene was incredibly animated. This scene shows Levi at his absolute best, fighting off an armed squad of gunners with nothing but swords. While it seemed like Levi was running this whole fight, we all know who was hunting who.
