There are eight attributes that make up each character. Attributes will determine the power of the rest of your Skills and your Stats such as Health, Magicka, and Stamina.

After Leveling Up (see page for more info) you have the option to improve three attributes. The amount it levels up will depend on how many skills increased under that attribute. No skills govern Luck, but you can still increase Luck by one point each Level.

The following is a table of all Skills that govern each attribute.

Attribute Skills Governed Function
Agility Marksman, Security, Sneak Determines how well you can balance and move, Fatigue, and damage done with arrows
Endurance Armorer, Block, Heavy Armor Affects Fatigue, Health, and how much your Health increases when your raise levels
Intelligence Alchemy, Conjuration, Mysticism Affects total Magicka and magic use
Personality Illusion, Mercantile, Speechcraft Affects how much people like you
Speed Acrobatics, Athletics, Light Armor Affects how quickly you can walk, run, and swim.
Strength Blade, Blunt, Hand-to-Hand Affects how much you can carry, Fatigue, and how much damage you can do with melee weapons
Willpower Alteration, Destruction, Restoration Affects Magicka regeneration and Fatigue
Luck None Affects everything you do
