Expect random bursts of All Might, among some other things. Bakugou isn’t “just as asshole”, he is a severely mentally ill kid.

He is also an asshole, but I don’t blame him with all the shit thats plaguing him.People are never “just” something. People are “just good” or “just bad”. That’s stupid. There’s always REASONS for peoples behaviour - they may be dumb reasons, but they are there.I believe Bakugou’s behaviour stems from illnesses severe enough to consider him disabled. They prevent him from properly functioning properly in day-to-day life.He has DEFINITELY got an superiority/Inferiority complex and some pretty fucking rough anxiety. That shits canon.Id argue that he has more stuff too. LOTS MORE.

Hes got some clear anger issues where he

lashes out at any perceived attack or annoyance in disproportionate bursts.He gets angry at his peers.He gets angry at the germs in his mouth.He gets angry to the point of PEOPLE TRYING TO RESTRAIN HIM (which was fucked up btw UA, not a cool move.)Worst example of all: He gets angry at the ‘civilians’ hes trying to save (to the point that it prevented him from getting his hero license thingy, something he REALLY WANTED and was TRYING HIS BEST TO GET. His INABILITY to contain his anger PREVENTED HIM from achieving goal he would have otherwise ACED.)

That’s enough to get in the way of his every day life. That’s enough to ruin basic social situations. He has SOME control over it, he doesn’t always lash out when he’s being spoken to by people he admires, but if he can’t contain it most of the time that dosn’t really matter. I’d say he maybe has something like

Intermittent Explosive Disorder - it would thematically match his quirk, which is… oddly satisfying?

But the scariest thing? The thing I’m really HOPING Horikoshi touches on somehow?He resists all affection.He struggles to GIVE affection.He withdraws from friendship and other connections.He is emotionally detached, only letting himself show anger and confidence.He lacks trust in anyone else, he is even suspicious of others.He is ALWAYS angry or agitated.He desires control, to be the best, to be the strongest and always win.He acts provocatively, in ways other people call “brutish” or “villainous”.He sometimes gets confused when others make plans around him, as if what other people are saying dosn’t make sense unless he is part of it.These can be individual side effects of other things, such as anxiety, but all together… these symptoms all sound exactly like

Attachment Disorder.Why is that so scary?Its something formed when you are an infant or very small child, from NEGLECT or ABUSE.Things like not spending any time with baby. Things like ignoring baby crying. Sexual or physical abuse to baby. Baby or child being taken away from their parents for periods of time and other traumatic experiences. Sometimes giving positive attention to the child and sometimes being extremely cold. Overreacting to any bad behaviour to a small child.You don’t just pop a kid out with all of those symptoms.You don’t just have a kid grow up mistaking WORRY for BEING LOOKED DOWN ON. He has a huge ego because everyone thought his quirk was amazing, yes,

but he also put his entire sense of self worth on that quirk.And he was doing this when he was 4? He is STILL struggling with it now that he is 16?

While having peers and teachers lick your ass all the time because you’re super cool isn’t healthy it does show that he DID get positive attention from somewhere. So where does all this anger come from?Towards the very people who would give him positive attention?

What kind of childhood does a 4 yr old child need to grow up with to put their entire sense of self worth on their abilities?What kind of childhood does a 4 yr old kid need to start thinking that a hero’s job isn’t to save and comfort but simply to WIN FIGHTS?What kind of childhood does a 4 yr old kid need to mistake WORRY and AFFECTION with being LOOKED DOWN ON and PITIED? A fucking 4 yr old???And these things were NEVER ADDRESSED by ANYONE until he was 16.

It automatically makes me suspicious of Bakugou’s parents, particularly his mother who has been seen smacking him upside the head for being rude, calling him weak, saying he needs things that keep his inflated ego in check - JUST AFTER HE CAME BACK FROM BEING KIDNAPPED BY VILLAINS.JUST AFTER HE WAS THE CATALYST FOR ALL MIGHT’S RETIREMENT AND “NEW” GROTESQUE FIGURE.

Also his father? Seems apprehensive of her? Its scary. She greatly worries me.I mean, maybe smacking him was just a joke? Maybe calling him weak was a joke. Maybe humiliating him infront of his teachers was a joke. Its all maybe meant to be taken as a joke.

But then again, so is Mineta.And yet its rare to find someone who thinks his “funny joke” behaviour is at all ok.
