Ball On A Treadmill Problem - Animation And Rigging

The idea is that a hatch opens and a ball falls on a treadmill which is moving it to the next stage of the track. However what I get is this: New video

The treadmill is an array of cubes with a curve modifier. In order to spin it I move it along the x axis to the left. However it seems like that the ball is following the array of cubes along the x axis (ignoring the curve modifier) instead of following the treadmill’s rotation to the right. ) pure geometry so work on… Pavamvak (Panagiotis Vamvakas) July 15, 2021, 8:52am 3 You mean in the “Object” menu the option “Bake action” (Object → Animation → Bake Action…) ? If so, I already tried that. It bakes the animation (movement along the x axis) but since the modifier is not applied it still just moves the array of planes and does the same. so the question is : how to put the modifier into effect for the simulaton ?Anyway: i played around and if you switch direction of the bezier, rotate the treadmill in edit mode at 180’, and change keyframe x value -2.0152 to +2.0152 (reverse the animation), then you animation shows the same and if you disable the curve modifier in viewport the ball get stuck on the mill (no jumping at all) but if you enable it again the ball falls through the mill …

so i’m not so much into animation and even lesser i sumulation but maybe it gives you some ideas (no jumping is not what you want or i’m wrong???) This is exactly what I needed, you’re a life saver! It seems that the problem was that I hadn’t apply the size and I also needed to check the box “Deforming” in the rigid body options. Thanks again!
