On the other hand, the tree has quite a few cheaper type of leaves, which makes it look cheap and inconsistent considering the high cost of it. Disappointed - do not buy from them!

just ‘copy & paste’ answers without reading my query. Ended up accepting a 20% refund as I didn’t want the hassle of taking the tree down and returning it, this side of Xmas and not having the time to find a replacement.
They are using false advertising and should be held responsible.

I have purchased Balsam hills snow globes over the years. Two of these snowglobes that are priced at over $200 have started to fail. Incredibly overpriced and does not last. Bought in July 2022, after I lost all my Christmas decorations to the Brisbane flood. the lights no longer work and the branches are breaking off. $1100 for only 3 months of use is disgusting. So utterly disappointed. My last tree was a $100 from kmart I bought in 2005 that worked right up until the flood, probably still worked after the flood, to be honest, I just didn't want to risk it. Save yourself the heart ache and buy a tree from kmart or target. First photo is last year when it still lit up December 2024. The rest are this year 2025.

of the tree at the bottom is completely different (my tree was much skinnier) and the tree is clearly no where near as full / is much sparser than the image. The colour also isn’t accurate. Don’t waste your money. I managed to get a full refund with a lot of back and forth, thank god.

notice the size on my invoice was 183cm. When the order went through I was not aware of the size difference as the prices for each of these sizes is a difference of $20. I called Monday 6 October where I was told on two phone calls they would send an email with return details and courier and once received I would receive a refund. Today I called again and I’m still waiting on this email. Not only did I want a 213cm tree, they noted a 183cm on the invoice yet they even sent a smaller tree of 180cm. Very disappointing from this company given the repeated orders I’ve had over the years

the garland a while ago but am writing this review to help other prospective buyers. I originally purchased it on sale so it wasn’t used for months prior to Christmas. I found that many of the lights didn’t work properly but decided to use other string lights to make it look better.
When I finally decided to contact Balsam Hill I was told that they would replace the garland but that they needed to check more information. Unfortunately the warranty had just expired so that was the end of the road for me.
I decided to explore a different avenue and asked if replacement lights were available. The answer was no.
I looked on the US site and saw that they sold replacement lights, so asked our friends to bring 2 packets over for us. They weren’t available for shipment to Australia. To my bad luck, these didn’t fit the garland, so I’ll have to continue using extra battery operated string lights to fill the gaps.
You also need to be careful when “fluffing” the garland so that the greenery is not loosened. Leaves fall out if you’re not careful.
My recommendation would be to buy unlit garlands or trees for that matter, and do your own lights.

Purchased after wanting one for many years! Unpacked and plugged in after delivery and we were not disappointed! Tree is huge and the foliage is lovely quality, all lights work, connected to app in seconds and we now have a gorgeous tree with over fifty light shows to enjoy this coming Christmas. with no update, I called again, only to find out that my refund request had never been actioned in the first place. I am now expected to wait another week for the process to start all over again.
This level of service is simply unacceptable. The lack of communication, follow-through, and accountability has made this experience incredibly disappointing. I hope Balsam Hill takes steps to improve their customer service, as this is not what I would expect from a reputable company.

offered any option to replace bags other than that trees have 60 days warranty. I was happy to pay for these bags (however, expected that concise trees come with good customer service and after care), but neither option was present.

Buying a tree from Balsam hill is a big investment - if I had known we wouldn’t be able to buy replacement parts to extend the life of the tree I wouldn’t have bought from this company.

wanted to check on whether I could get my very tall $2k plus tree in LED lights. I was forced to 'chat' online and type relentlessly to an overseas chat operater who told me the phone lines were working and it must be my error. It must be my phone. Couldn't possibly be their error. Nope. Clearly Optus and Telstra clarified it was NOT my error, but theirs. THEIR phone line simply wasn't working - not engaged, just not operating. After arguing via 4 emails, the operator agreed it was their issue, however no apology was made for wasting my time. I guess it's just the 1. Arrogance of the company/operator . 2. Incompetance of the same in not being able to provide a human salesperson to have a discussion with prior to parting with $2.2k approx. 3. Pride in the attitude of 'buy it or don't buy it' but we will NOT have a staff member call you back to help you. (Yep, I asked if THEY could call me back on their own phone to help me and they denied they could 'provide this service' - I mean What The??? Don't deny it - I have the emails to confirm this). 4. Tree arrived - it is fine. Just fine. tried calling their Australian number, but it appeared to be disconnected. I then contacted them through their website chat to request a refund. In response, I was told that I couldn’t get my money back because the item had already been dispatched.
It’s unbelievable - how can they dispatch an item without informing the customer or even sending a purchase confirmation? I am still waiting for the delivery. I gave this one star only because there’s no option to give zero!

As it was so close to Christmas by this stage, I succumbed and purchased another tree hoping it would be the correct one. It arrived quickly and it is lovely but too wide for the space. Balsam hill Monterey pine – Delivery came quick. Pictures on sale page look quite accurate but u do need to spend time fluffing up separating branches. Assemble time was quick and easy to put together.

At 2am this morning we had an email from Balsam Hill saying "We're sorry this order didn't work out as you hoped" as if we had cancelled the order followed by another telling us we would be refunded because it wasn't in stock. They waited 5 working days to tell us our order wasn't available, have offered nothing in the way of apology, and we have to wait for 3-5 working days to receive a refund for a tree worth £300. In the meantime we have no time to arrange another order for this weekend and we can't afford to buy another one in any case because we'll have to wait for the refund. Absolutely appalling customer service and it is safe to say we will not be using this company again the future.
Not worth the money – Thought I'd spend more to get a tree that is fuller at the bottom but I ended up with the same look as a tree from kmart or target. Pretty disappointed.
A marketing Scam! – Absolutely underwhelming! Nothing like the photos, no different than other trees for a fraction of the price. Very sparce, not amount of fluffy makes it look full or anything like the pictures. False advertising at it's finest!

Ultimately the tree looks nice and the lighting system is incredibly convenient. It was well packed and comes with replacement bulbs etc. The stand and construction are sturdy. However, it does not, and never will, look like the tree on their site. I spent 3 hours fluffing, watched every video and read every tip. It's really a standard artificial tree, at a premium price ( I paid approx. $770 on sale).
Our previous tree was from ALDI and we had it for over 10 years. If I'd known, I'd probably have gone back to ALDI for the replacement.

Like any tree, you need to “fluff it” Such beautiful quality and I adore the shape.
Horrible quality – I bought the heritage spice wreath, and paid $200 for it to be on sale. I would definitely not pay full price, nor would I ever buy from them again. The quality is horrible, for something that expensive I'd expect not to see glue blobs all over the wreath, which is also exposed while hanging it up. Also to add the wreath ornaments were not as full as the image displayed and it's cheap plastic. What a waste of my money.
