Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 to 2 pounds baby beef ribs
  • BASTING SAUCE
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 3 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 dash black pepper
  • 1 dash dry mustard

How To Make barbecued baby beef ribs (oven version)

  • Step 1 Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Step 2 Wipe ribs with wet towel or with damp paper towels.
  • Step 3 Place ribs in a single layer in a shallow roasting pan.
  • Step 4 Roast ribs at 450 degrees F for about 20 minutes, turning once.
  • Step 5 Prepare basting sauce by mixing all ingredients together.
  • Step 6 Remove ribs from oven.
  • Step 7 Brush ribs with sauce on both sides.
  • Step 8 Return to oven.
  • Step 9 Bake at 450 degrees F for about 20 minutes longer or until ribs are tender.
  • Step 10 Baste with remaining sauce from time to time while baking.
  • Step 11 If ribs start getting too dark, cover with aluminum foil and reduce heat to 400 degrees F for the last 10 minutes of baking time.
