As a young high school student, Rebecca launched a drive to provide prom dresses to girls who could not afford them. She singlehandedly collected more than 250 formal dress donations - helping girls attend their high school proms. From this, Becca's Closet was born.

Our Mission

To keep Becca’s dream alive, her loved ones established Becca’s Closet, an organization dedicated to continuing her mission. Originally focused on providing free prom dresses to students in need, Becca’s Closet has since expanded its efforts. Today, the organization not only distributes formalwear from volunteer-led chapters throughout the U.S., but also raises funds for post-secondary scholarships, recognizing young individuals across the country who embody Becca’s spirit of generosity in their own communities. Becca’s story is a testament to the power of kindness, proving that one person’s compassion can inspire change far beyond their years. Through Becca’s Closet, her legacy lives on, touching the lives of countless students and ensuring that no one misses out on meaningful high school experiences due to financial hardship.

We are happy to share that Becca’s Closet South Florida is now accepting appointment requests for military ball and prom dresses. Becca’s Closet is a nonprofit organization that provides free formal dresses to high school girls who cannot afford to purchase one. Students shop by appointment, select their own dress, and keep it at no cost. Appointments can be requested: • Online: https://www.beccascloset.org/i-need-a-dress/ • By phone: 954-424-9999 We are now located at Galleria Mall in Fort Lauderdale and operate by appointment only. Please share this information and the flyer at https://bit.ly/bcformal2026 with girls and families who may benefit. Early requests are strongly encouraged, as last-minute appointments are difficult to accommodate during the busy season. We also ask that you encourage girls who submit appointment requests to answer phone calls, check voicemails, and respond to emails, as a Becca’s Closet volunteer will reach out to schedule their appointment. If girls at your school experience transportation challenges, we may be able to welcome small groups of girls on organized field trips, when scheduling allows. We are happy to discuss this option with you. Thank you for helping us ensure that no girl misses these important milestone events due to financial need. Did you know that Windsor donated 1000 dresses to Becca’s Closet?! We were lucky enough to have received 2️⃣5️⃣ brand new, beautiful dresses this past fall. One of the dresses that was chosen has a special story added on…A student had chosen a gorgeous yellow, beaded gown and asked if we could cut off the sizing tag for her. We said “Of course” and asked her why she wanted it removed right away. She said… she’s going to her dance in 30 minutes!!! She had done her makeup before coming to pick out a dress and was planning to curl her hair on the car ride to her school. We were honored to have been able to dress her for such a special event! Thank you windsorstore for your partnership with Becca’s Closet to help bring confidence and beauty to these young people! 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
