Without a female role model as a child, Dalia Hadari had no idea how to handle her hair. It wasn’t until she had two daughters with vastly different hair types that Lange knew she wanted to provide a line of products that catered to all hair types while also helping guide and teach everyone about their hair care routines— something she didn’t have growing up.

This ultimately led her to create L’ange—a line of haircare products and high-performance hair tools that are driven by innovation, diversity, and community. We chatted with Hadari, who shared the interesting meaning behind the brand name, her favorite products, future plans, and more.

When was L’ange founded and what’s the meaning behind the name?

My husband and I founded L’ange in 2017. The name “angel” in French is a take on my maiden name, Lange. I lost both of my parents when I was young and I fondly think of them as my “angels” guiding me through life. When I decided to start a hair and beauty brand to help guide women on their hair care routine, using my maiden name seemed like the perfect fit!

Tell us more about your products and what makes them special.

Even though the hair and beauty industry was already saturated when we entered the market, we knew we could be disruptive and stand out. First, our mission was—and still is—to make the industry more inclusive and hair-friendly regardless of hair type, texture or style. Second, “getting ready” should be easy, fast, fun, and affordable!
