Most scenes on the punisher were using this technique and even in the new trailer for BBC’s Gold Digger the camera is level with the table. He is a solid 6ft that can look 185cm due to this. Barnes just has a much slimmer frame than Bernthal, so he looks taller than he does when they're not together. I think besides the main cast members, its like the show almost purposely (or coincidentally) cast way shorter people around Barnes. I'm looking back now and yeah there were a lot of short characters he interacted with and even shorter background extras. He has a pretty small face. Smaller faces magnify your other features = you appear taller, shoulders look wider, legs look longer, etc. Also, in the Punisher, he was basically in a suit 95% of the time, and suits will make any guy look taller, mainly due to high waisted pants/tucked in shirt/dress shoes. Combine this with the fact that he's skinny/lean and at least 6ft, and you get a pretty tall looking guy. My 2cents. Also can't rule out the fact that maybe they purposefully wanted him to appear taller. Also, standalone shots are really unreliable to gauge anyone's height. Camera angles/attire/proportions can really play a huge part.
