26 Oct, 2014 @ 8:04am Best way to end "That lucky Old Sun"? I kinda want the super weapon but some say it's not that good. Should I get the space laser thing, good rep with NCR, or good rep with The Followers of the Apocalypse? Wich is most worthwhile (i will probably side with the NCR when I get to that part of the story). < > Showing 1-15 of 26 comments

FotA rep is trickier, but not that important, unless you want an infinite supply of purchasable skill magazines and/or a shot of getting the Enclave power armour before the final battle.Storywise the FotA version is the "best". The superweapon is incredibly lame, unless you use some mods to buff it to an actual superweapon level. A unique .308 sniper can cause more devastation than Archimedes. #1

26 Oct, 2014 @ 8:16am ARCHIMEDES II is really not worthwhile. If you haven't tried that option before, you should try it out at least once, but you'll quickly discover its shortcomings. In terms of actual rewards and Followers fame, the best option is full region, but you won't get NCR fame with that one. NCR will only appreciate McCarran and the Strip. There's no reason to select Fremont and Westside unless you really don't want to help the NCR, but weirdly you will not get NCR infamy for selecting this. #2

26 Oct, 2014 @ 8:21am I say obtaining Archimedes is best. It's just worth having in your arsenal for those rare times when you can get a super-crowd-sneak attack. Sure sometimes it won't insta-kill everything, but it will cripple limbs making it easier to finish off the crowd with a well launched explosive. #3

26 Oct, 2014 @ 8:23am I do want a good rep with the followers to get the free stuff they offer, how hard is it to get good rep with them? #4
talgaby View Profile View Posts 26 Oct, 2014 @ 8:54am Well… it's relative. One of the hardest next to BoS, yet it's not that spectacularly hard to max out the rep with them, all you need is a ton of special meds you can donate (roughly 60). I just like to do the Helios quest in their favour and stop the nuke in LR to get a boosted fame when I enter the Mormon fort the first time. Last edited by talgaby; 26 Oct, 2014 @ 8:55am #5

26 Oct, 2014 @ 10:11am You'd be better off getting all DLCs cuz they have all got story arc across all 4 and it is very amazing. Better than the storyline of the original game in my opinion #9

26 Oct, 2014 @ 4:25pm I did the Archimedes II option just because I was also completing "I could make you care" at the time and I chose to get the rangefinder. I'm still idolized by the NCR and I'm pretty sure I can get in good with the FotA if I slipped them some stims. #15 < > Showing 1-15 of 26 comments Per page: 1530 50 Fallout: New Vegas > General Discussions > Topic Details Date Posted: 26 Oct, 2014 @ 8:04amPosts: 26
