William Henry Cosby Jr. was born on the 12th of July, 1937, in Pennsylvania. He was brought up in a family of a sailor. He felt the talent of a comedian. He was rather active in school sports events and had a good perspective for the career of a sportsman. William was rather popular in his class and was chosen the president. As for his studies, he was rather poor in them. He quit the school as he had to work to support his family. He joined the Navy and later became a member of the personnel in the hospital where he took care of the wounded. Having served there for some years, he got to the University as he had been given a sports scholarship. While studying he began performing as a stand upper in some Philadelphia club. Later he was seen and invited to perform in the best clubs of New York, Washington and San Francisco. During his career William created a big number of comedy albums and musical albums.
