This page covers the Black Bear location in RDR2, and how to get a Perfect Black Bear Pelt. The Black Bear is a massive sized animal in Red Dead Redemption 2. You'll most likely find them in the forests and snowy mountains. You'll need a Perfect Black Bear Pelt for part of the Cougar Cutaway Coat in the Night Wrangler Garment at the Trapper.

"The American Black Bear is found in the remote woodlands of Roanoke, Big Valley and Tall Trees. It is smaller than the Grizzly Bear. The main diet of these omnivorous animals consists of salmon, honey, fruit, small mammals and carrion. A long scope rifle should take down a bear of this size. Their claws and fat can be used for crafting and their meat can be consumed."

Black Bears are found in the forests and snowy mountains. You can specifically find Black Bears in the forests north of Ownajila Lake or northwestern peaks on West Elizabeth.

How Kill the Black Bear in Red Dead 2 for a Perfect Black Bear Pelt

To get a perfect Pelt you'll have to find a Perfect Black Bear and use the right weapons to kill it.

Black Bears are giant beasts that will not hesitate to tackle you to the ground. Keep your distance and try and scope the bear out at a distance. Using a sniper rifle with any ammo, except explosive, for the cleanest kill.
