Blackjack is another card game that is playable in Red Dead Redemption II. Winning at blackjack will net you money. This game is played between your hand and the dealer, not other participants. Blackjack can be played at camp or in Blackwater, Van Horn, or Rhodes.

Blackjack Rules

The goal is to have the cards you are dealt add up to 21 or as close as possible without going over. You are dealt two to start with and then you may request more (a "hit"). If you go over 21, you lose. If the dealer has a higher hand, you lose.

  • Have the cards you are dealt add up to 21, without going over.
  • Take a "hit" (an extra card) to get closer to 21 if you need a higher number
  • If the dealer has a higher number than you, the dealer wins.
  • If you and the dealer tie at 21, it’s a wash.

How to Win Blackjack

Blackjack is a solo card game fueled mostly by luck. If you stay under 21, but above the dealer, you should pan out all right. Keep an eye on the cards that have been dealt.

  • An ace can either count as 1 point or 11, whatever will get you closer to 21.
  • Face cards count as 10 points.
