Want to watch a live view using Alexa without needing your smartphone? No Problem! With the Blink skill, you can effortlessly monitor your Blink video security system from compatible Alexa devices using voice commands. To get started, simply link your Blink account to Alexa. From the Blink mobile app, go to “Settings, “Account and Privacy”, and then “Link to Alexa”. Alternatively, you can enable the skill directly from the Alexa mobile app. For more detailed instructions, please visit support.blinkforhome.com/alexa. To watch a live view from your Blink camera, say: “Alexa, show me [camera name].” To stop a live view from a Blink camera, say: “Alexa, stop.” To arm/disarm your Blink system, say: “Alexa, arm [system name].” “Alexa, disarm [system name].” “Alexa, is [system name] armed?” To control your Blink camera’s floodlight, say: “Alexa, turn on the [camera name].” “Alexa, turn off the [camera name].” With Motion Announcements, compatible Alexa devices will emit an audible notification when motion is detected from one of your Blink cameras. With Doorbell Press Announcements, compatible Alexa devices will chime when someone presses your Blink Video Doorbell. Both of these feature can be enabled in the Alexa mobile app. With Alexa Routines, you can use your Blink cameras to trigger specific actions. For example, if a Blink camera detects motion or a Blink Video Doorbell is pressed, Alexa can turn on smart lighting inside or outside your house, deterring potential intruders. Routines can be configured in the Alexa mobile app. With battery percentage monitoring, Alexa will remind you when the batteries in your Blink cameras are running low.
