With the Bloodhunt PS5 release date having come and gone, those still playing on the PS4 will want to know if they can get their hands on the battle-royale game set in the mystifying and long-running Vampire: The Masquerade universe.

Bloodhunt offers a different look at the classic Vampire IP, focusing on vampires at war. This big-budget multiplayer game will be remembered as one of the most exciting free-to-play experiences on PS5, so here's everything you need to know about a PS4 release, including what Sharkmob said to us about bringing Bloodhunt to other platforms.

Is Bloodhunt no PS4?

Sorry PS4 players, but Bloodhunt is not available on last-gen consoles. There have also never been plans for a Bloodhunt PS4 release, according to Sharkmob, who wanted it to remain PC and PS5 exclusive.

The game director of Bloodhunt, Craig Hubbard, told The Loadout in October 2021 that the studio did not want to "risk spreading ourselves too thin", by expanding Bloodhunt's platforms beyond what it could manage. This meant that Sharkmob never entertained the idea of bringing it to PS4 and Xbox consoles too.

"Launching a PvP game is a huge undertaking that requires commitment, adaptability, resourcefulness, and focus," Hubbard said.

With support for Bloodhunt now officially ended as well, your chances of getting the game on PS4 have now dropped to zero. While its servers are still up and running for PC and PS5 players, at the time of writing, Sharkmob announced in March 2023 that it would no longer bring new content or updates to the game.
