Bloves Sauce | The Most Delicious Recipe You Can Make
Maybe your like
This blove sauce has a blend of spices and seasoning that creates a flavor like no other. It’s a little buttery, a little spicy, a little salty, a little sweet, and a whole ‘lotta delicious. The sauce goes incredibly well with seafood, but it's actually great on chicken and pork too. On top of all of that, it’s super quick and easy to make - 5 minutes is all it takes to put together.
MY TAKE ON BLOVE SAUCE
This unique blove sauce recipe is inspired by the popular Youtuber Blove who created the sauce and made it super popular.
It’s meant to go with seafood - my favorite thing to have it with is this air fryer catfish - but it’s also pretty tasty on things like potatoes, chicken, vegetables, and so much more. I’m not going to lie, the other day I even saw my 2 year old dip her tater tots into it.
Yes, even the pickiest of eaters will love it.
Just as great as how it tastes is how easy it is to make. All you have to do to make it is combine all of the ingredients in a hot skillet. Once they’re combined - this should take no more than 5 minutes - you’re done.
INGREDIENTS
One of my favorite things about making this sauce is that it requires only common pantry/refrigerator staples to put together. While it is an extensive ingredient list, there’s a good chance you’ll have most - if not all - of them at home already.
Anyway, here's everything that you'll need:
- Seasoning Mix (1 tablespoon of each): garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper, onion powder, oregano, lemon pepper, chili powder, Cajun spice mix, and Old bay seasoning
- 2-3 Garlic bulbs
- ¼ Onion
- 4 sticks Unsalted Butter, Cubed
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tbsp. Brown Sugar
- Pinch of Salt
- 1 Cup Chicken Broth
- Optional for an added spice:
- 1 tbsp, Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 tbsp. Tabasco Sauce
- 2 tbsp. Ginger
- Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
Again, I know it's a lot of ingredients, but the whole list is what you need if you want to maximize the entire flavor profile of this one-of-a-kind tasting sauce!
So, if you don't have an ingredient to make the sauce, I highly recommend grabbing it from the store. You'll most likely be able to use it to make this Qdoba chicken recipe or blackened shrimp recipe as well - so it won’t go to waste.
HOW TO MAKE BLOVE SAUCE
As I mentioned, this sauce is pretty easy to make, and the simple process yields one heck of a flavor.
So, let's not waste any more time, and get right into making it.
STEP 1: MAKING THE BASE
Start by combining all the seasoning ingredients in a bowl. That includes 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper, onion powder, oregano, lemon pepper, chili powder, Cajun spice mix, and old bay seasoning. Then, set it aside for later.
Next, to quickly chop the aromatics, blend the garlic and onions for 20-30 seconds in a blender or food processor. Set this aside with the seasoning mix.
Now melt the butter in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Then, add the blended garlic and onion chunks to the pan, and turn the heat down to medium. Cook everything for about 30 seconds, constantly stirring to keep everything well combined.
STEP 2: COMPLETING THE SAUCE
Keep the pan on medium heat and add the vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, chicken stock, ginger, lemon juice, some red pepper flakes, and salt. By the way, if you want to add some extra spice add in some Tabasco and mix everything together until well combined.
Next, add the seasoning mix you set aside earlier to the pan and bring everything to a boil. Stir it occasionally until the mixture is as combined as you can get it.
Lastly, remove the sauce from the heat, let it cool down in the pan, then serve this bloves sauce recipe with whatever you want and enjoy!
MY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR STORING BLOVES SAUCE
One of the best parts about making this bloves sauce recipe is that it makes around 20 servings, so you can enjoy it for quite some time.
After the sauce cools completely, transfer it to a glass jar or sealable container, and you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
If you want to keep it for even longer, put it in a freezer-safe container, and it can be kept in the freezer for up to 3 months.
MY FINAL THOUGHTS
Well, that is how to make bloves sauce from scratch!
You really won't find the flavors that are in this sauce anywhere else. And while the ingredient list is a long one it's well worth getting 'em all since the sauce goes so well on so many different things.
Anyway, I hope you like this blove sauce recipe as much as I do.
If you make it, leave a comment below and let me know what you think!
Oh, and by the way, if you want to save yourself some time you can always buy the sauce premade from Bloves website.
