The Bone item in Minecraft can be obtained by killing Skeletons.

Uses

Bones can be fed to Wolves in order to tame them. The amount needed to tame a wolf can vary greatly.

Bones can also be placed on the Crafting grid to create Bone Meal, which in turn can be used to create Dyes or as a fertilizer. Each bone creates three Bone Meal.
