The Bookshelf Room is a small place, that is hidden behind the Bookshelf in Bedroom 2. This room features Slendrina's Mother being held on wall by handcuffs. It was added to Granny in Version 1.5.

Appearance

Bookshelf Room's boundaries are made of some gray stone, probably diorite. In the middle of the room, there is a rusty Lectern, which is used for holding The book.

The Bookshelf Room has Slendrina's Mother being held on her back wall by handcuffs connected to chains. She can be freed by placing the Book onto the Lectern.

Left and right walls of the Bookshelf Room, have two pictures framed-in each. These pictures are black and white screenshots of the gameplay of the previous game by DVloper: Slendrina X.

Accessing

Above the Painting in Bedroom 2, there is a Bookshelf Lever. In older versions 1.5-1.7.9, the painting will cover the lever, because at that time this was a easter egg. Interacting with the lever it will move away the Bookshelf to the right, opening the entrance to the Bookshelf Room.

Spawning

Slendrina's Mother

Slendrina's Mother always spawns at the start of the game, handcuffed to the backwall of the Bookshelf Room. She is always required to beat the game by placing the book on the lectern and freeing her from the handcuffs in order for the Player to get the Spider Key she spat after crawling.

Lectern Easter Egg

V1.5 - V1.7.9

When the player interacts with the Lectern, while holding the Book, the Strange Substance inside the room will be slowly pushed away to the side, revealing Slendrina's Mother, as she is chained to the wall.

V1.7.9.3

When a player interacts with the Lectern, while holding the Book, Slendrina's Mother will fall be set free and will fall on the ground unconscious. If the player walks away from the Bookshelf Room far enough, she will start crawling away, eventually falling unconscious again. The best tip is to insert the Book onto the Lectern and immediately walk away to the Cardboard Boxes in the Walk-In Closet, after that return to Bedroom 2 and Slendrina's Mother should start to crawl.

Same thing as Version 1.7.9.3, except she now drops the Spider Key.

Trivia

• The Remote Control is the only item in the game that can spawn in this room on Preset #5.
  • On V1.7.9.3, its position has a slight change as the Strange Substance has been removed.
• Prior to V1.7.9.3, the Freeze Trap wouldn't activate by touching Bookshelf Room's floor.
• Granny can still enter the Bookshelf Room, even when the Bookshelf is currently blocking it.
• Previously, there was a black line in the doorway to the Bookshelf Room.
  • It was removed in Version 1.7.
• As of Version 1.8+, it is now impossible to beat the game without using this room since you have to use this room in order to get the Spider Key which is needed on all presets and whichever escape route you are taking.

• It is possible to knock her body of the railing of the staircase after getting free from the cuffs. This procedure was done in one of Vividplays channel's videos.
• In The Child Of Slendrina, there is a room with chains that resemble those in the Bookshelf room. These chains were probably intended for Slendrina's mother, who may have been mentally ill.
