Mike Tyson retired from boxing in 2005 following a loss to Kevin McBride. In recent years he decided to return for an exhibition fight against fellow Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr. at a Triller pay-per-view two years ago. Since then, Tyson has had many offers to fight again, but so far nothing confirmed, and it seems it might stay that way.

Notable discussions included exhibition matchups against fellow YouTuber-turned-boxer brothers Logan and Jake Paul. The latter recently confirmed that while he would fight Tyson, there was no agreement of any kind yet, and according to Tyson himself, none of them may happen.

On a recent appearance in the Full Send Podcast, Mike Tyson said "I don't think I'd ever just do stuff like that anymore. I wanted to do it the first time just for fun, just to have fun. Then some people took it to another level and made it financial and the fun went out of it."

"Every 12-13 months, boom! Something's missing," Tyson said. "Boom! I'm losing muscle mass. It's always something different. And, I don't know. Guys want to fight me for $100 million," he said, contemplating the impact the sport has had on his body.

No plans to return to boxing

"Iron Mike" showed no interest in making a comeback to the ring, not even for exhibition fights. Tyson now has more interest in other ventures, such as his profitable cannabis business.

Cannabis has always been of interest to Tyson and now he is dedicated to its commercialization, in addition to legalizing its consumption. "Marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms helped me end my wild lifestyle and embrace my relationship with God. I don't use them for fun, but from a spiritual perspective," explained the former boxer.

"When I discovered natural medicine and everything changed. Before, I was always in the newspapers, doing something negative. Now you don't see me partying anymore. That's not my life anymore."

In 2020 alone, Tyson pocketed half a million dollars thanks to his cannabis business. With figures like these, it is clear that no one would want to get into a ring to get punched just for money.
