Bra Recycling - Against Breast Cancer
Maybe your like
It’s time to bin your bra!
Our bra recycling scheme takes your unwanted or unloved bras and through our network of bra banks raises vital funds for pioneering breast cancer research.
Together with our recycling partners, our textile recovery project prevents these bras going into landfill before giving them a new lease of life.
Successful ventures like this provide employment and an income for people living in the UK. Any bras that are genuinely beyond redemption are dismantled and disposed of properly.
For every tonne of bras collected, Against Breast Cancer receives £700 to fund our research. With over 30 million women in the UK you could really help make a difference!
Bra recycling explained
Have a bra bank in your place of work
The delivery of the bra bank and collection of bras is a free service. To maintain this we ask our supporters to confirm that they can fill at least four bra bank liners for each collection. Each liner holds approximately 100 bras, so you would need to be able to collect at least 400 bras and be able to keep the bank on an on-going basis.
Please fill in the form below to request a bra bank in your place of work. As soon as we have your confirmation that you can collect the volume of bras required and you are happy to keep the bra bank (we recycle bras all year round), the bank will be despatched by our recycling partner. Please note this service is only availabe in England, Scotland and Wales.
If you are a business and would like to donate your new or end-of-line stock to our vital breast cancer research? Please follow this link, complete the form and a member of the team will contact you directly. Thank you.
Send your bras in to us by post
If you do not have enough bras for your own bra bank then we would be very happy to receive them by post.

Please pop them in a jiffy bag and send them to us. If you would like to receive an acknowledgement to confirm that your donation has been received, please include your email address in your package.
The donation to our research is based on the weight, so more bras mean more money. We receive approximately £1 for every kilo of bras collected through our bra recycling scheme, vital funds that are enabling us to continue our research against breast cancer.
This is not a freepost service.

Is there already a bra bank in your area?
You can check if there is a bra bank in your area. If you enter your full postcode or town in the search box, it will bring up all the bra banks in your area. The bra banks will be identified by a red marker which you click onto to find the location of the bank. If no red markers appear, it means that there are no bra banks in your area.
We recommend you contact the holder of the bra bank in advance to make sure they are able to accept your donation. Whilst we keep this map as updated as possible, some organisations may not let us know when they discontinue their bra bank, whilst results from search engines and AI chatbots may also include locations that no longer hold a bra bank.
