Comments Comment by 36432 Could be the new tokens for 2008's Brewfest to prevent people from using the tokens from last year maybe? Comment by 79333 Edit: previous comment outdated by patch updates Comment by Bleh On the current PTR build, you are able to trade in your old tickets for an equivalent amount of tokens. I had around 100 tickets from last year's event and was able to trade them in for tokens. Comment by OtherGuy Brewfest Tickets have changed!Yes this is infact the new token for Brewfest, although like confirmed above, you can trade tickets in for the same amount of Tokens. Used to buy many things at the Brewfest. Comment by 159774 You need 600 of these tokens do get the Brewfest Kodo or the Brewfest Ram. Only horde can get the kodo and only alliance can get the rams this year (so far on the PTR). You can exchange your old Brewfest Prize Tickets for the Brewfest Prize Tokens; it is unknown if this 'trade' will make it to retail version but we all can hope. Comment by 102520 It would be interesting if you could trade in the tickets on live because I actually have the quest item http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34028 on a character that I haven't leveled to 40 and have no plans to eventually do. So I'm curious if you can directly use the quest item or if a turn in option will be available. I guess if not, a GM will pat my head and tell me to cry myself to sleep. Comment by 67975 obviously they made it tokens because of the problem where people were spilling beer on their tickets. so now we can drink our beer without fear of our hard work being washed away Comment by 10502 Do the Brewfest quests award experience? I want to get one of the Rams on my level 39 twink. :p Comment by AusSpyder The ram mount can no longer be bought with tickets, its been moved to the brewfest boss in BRD with a very low drop chance Comment by blupache OK, the "Currency For" tab here is presently incorrect.. on Khaz'goroth (US-Oceanic) the following items are currently being sold (there are extra items & some different prices):Blue, Brown, Green & Purple Brewfest Hats for 50 TokensBrewfest Slippers & Brewfest Boots for 100 TokensBrewfest Dress & Brewfest Regalia for 200 Tokens"Brew of the Month" Club Membership Form for 200 TokensWolpertinger's Tankard for 50 silver (no tokens required)Eyesight Enhancing Romance Goggles for 100 tokensFresh Dwarven Brewfest Hops for 5 tokens (temporary mount effect)Fresh Brewfest Hops for 2 tokensPreserved Brewfest Hops for 20 tokensBrewfest Pony Keg for 100 tokensI won't link 'em all, you can find them easily enough via a quick database search above. And as has been mentioned above, there are no ram mounts being sold anymore.. they have a chance to be dropped by Coren Direbrew while you're doing the daily Save Brewfest quest. Comment by LucidTaint You can exchange last year's tickets for this year's tokens at the token redeemer for your faction. As far as the rams and kodos go, they've changed the way you acquire them this year. You don't get the quest item from the token vendor like you did last year -- both mounts are a drop from Coren Direbrew, the holiday boss in Blackrock Depths. And both mounts have a chance to drop for either faction, so Alliance can get kodos and Horde can still get rams. Comment by 184128 You need 550 tokens, if you are aiming to do the achievement this year. It will be tough if you don't like ram racing. (Hat + Dress + Boots + Membership)40 For killing Diren Corebrew and handing in the quest. (Once only )0-48 - 2 Tokens per ram race (up to twice daily, max 24 a race, 18 hour cooldown since you started your last race. )15 - Tokens for barking either brew within the city on the ram (daily, ride ram to 4 areas.)10 For defending against the Dark iron attacks (daily, every 30 minutes the Dark Iron appear with their machines and attempt to steal the booze, you pick up the mugs on the tables and chuck it at them, if you successfully defend the beer, an item spawns in the middle that looks like a gear and you take the quest.)14 days for the duration of the festival, 15 if you started the dailies on Saturday morning before dailies reset (before 4 a.m )1062 tokens if you are started event after 4 a.m on Sept. 201135 tokens if you started event between 12am - 4am on Sept. 20Aside from drinking the beers and eating the food. This is the hardest part in earning the title "Brewmaster"and getting the Violet proto-drake if you complete all world events. Comment by Kyojen I think I saw an NPC that would exchange the old tickets for the new tokens. I think.... Comment by Condiment Just did it on Horde, successfully returning 9 barrels. The last barrel was returned by the skin of my teeth. My route was to use the apple barrel which is slightly hidden from view rather than the one on the road, and grabbing the apples at either end too. I was constantly at a gallop and didn't get exhausted once. You start with 4 minutes and the round trip took me about 50 seconds total, with a 30 second bonus. Sometimes, the apples didn't register and I had to return which dropped me a few seconds. Assuming those numbers are absolutely perfect (which I doubt), that would work out:0-50: first barrel, awarded 30 seconds bonus.20-70: second barrel, awarded 30 seconds bonus.40-90: third barrel, awarded 30 seconds bonus.60-110: fourth barrel, awarded 30 seconds bonus.80-130: fifth barrel, awarded 30 seconds bonus.100-150: sixth barrel, awarded 30 seconds bonus.120-170:seventh barrel, awarded 30 seconds bonus.140-190: eighth barrel, awarded 30 seconds bonus.160-210: ninth barrel, awarded 30 seconds bonus.180-230: tenth barrel, awarded 30 seconds bonus.200-250: passes the 240 seconds, which is your 4 minute limit. So ten barrels are theoretically possible with my numbers. However, it is very easy to lose a few seconds here and there. In fact, if you take 52 second round trip, the tenth falls out of reach. 54 seconds and the ninth falls out of reach (and I personally obtained nine). So I would personally say that completing nine trips is the best that can be consistently obtained. Ten trips would be a rarity (if possible).Aside: in my experience, the ram riding "daily" resets every 18 hours from the time you last completed it. It is definitely between 12 and 20 hours. Comment by 132170 Just did 11 for horde side (22 tokens) - Probably the max with latency involvedI just used the bucket behind where you drop off the bucket and the hidden one off the path to do this - i left the 3rd bucket alone. You have to hit the hidden one just right to make it back and hope he throws you the barrel.I usually hit the middle one - ram ate two apples as i ran by - at about 45 seconds or like 10-20 ft away from the goblin i turn back to the hidden barrel and can usually make it with a barrel flying behind me.why do alliance get more trips then horde? OP! Comment by Cinesias I have gotten 34 tokens from 1 race, and can get 32 every time. (Alliance)You simply use 2 of the 4 apple barrels. The one in the tent where you turn in the barrel, and the one half between the tent and where you pick up the barrel. As soon as you get to the side road in Kharanos near where the barrel is thrown, jump and turn 180 degrees and start running back. Comment by nihmue I noticed that now the event is over, you can stil spend your tokens at Larkin Thunderbrew. He has all the Brewfest items for sale. I have no idea for how long though.Same goes for Ray'ma on horde side. Comment by 19991 As of the 3.0.8 patch, these now have a 21 day duration. Like most other durations, time passes when you are logged out. So much for saving these up for next year! Comment by 240671 Seconded! 22 is the absolute max I could do using the same route on my Horde toon, but sleepwalking through the Aliance barrel run I got 28 on a bad first try last year. Comment by 366196 Fun fact: I did the dailies with my bank alt and got no exp. Getting these tokens gives u no exp and can be pretty fun for those trying to get a banking alt with many achivement points :P Comment by 362885 Can you return all 3 pieces of clothing? I remember only being able to return one piece of the Midsummer set. Comment by 187038 Last year i was able to get 24 tokens. This year when i tried it again i was ale to get 18 tokens, witha little more of practice ill get back to my record Comment by Pomodorosan These tokens do not have any Duration anymore. Hurray! Comment by 196703 Just ran the ram-racing quest on Horde side and I got 20 tokens easy... so 22~24 should still be doableA quick guide for those who can't get more than 10 tokens:Start the quest as far away from the goblin as possible (every second counts) Get your mount in the red a.s.a.p and rush to the Apple Barrel beside the banner halfway up the road. Steer your mount over to the next Apple Barrel hidden behind the rock on your left-side. Rush towards the goblin distributing the barrels (it's the guy with the arrow :P) and now comes the tricky part: When your close to the goblin, jump and turn 180 degrees in the air and try to land with your back towards and near the goblinAlso try to land a little before the goblin, you don't have to get as close as you think :) (might take a couple of tries to judge the distance) Now rush back to the Apple Barrel infront of the rock and just run blindly into it to be sure you get the debuff. Strafe left and towards the Apple Barrel besides the banner again and rush past it as close as possible without hitting it Now run towards the goblin and make another 180degrees-jump landing in front of the tent. Rinse & repeat. Now the tricky part is running from the goblin where you turn in the barrels to the first Apple Barrel (Step 9), because just before your reach the barrel your mount will be at 95% Exhaustion, meaning you have to hit the barrel spot-on...But with a little practice, you can make 20+ tokens easily :) Hope this helpsp.s. Alliance doesn't get any help :P bite me Comment by 458946 As alliance, you can pretty much do 20 runs wich equal 40 tokens without being a master expert at rams. There's 4 barrels, 1 at the dwarf that gives you the "quest", 1 near the wooden bridge, one midway to kharanos and one next to the guy who gives you the barrel. Lets call them barrels 1, 2 , 3 and 4.Start the quest and MASH the item to make the ram keep at full throtle. You should be able to get to barrel 3 with arround 70ish fatigue. When you're heading down to the barrel dude, right as you go near him, do a 180 flip and run, you dont need to wait for the keg to land on you to take off, it'l catch up with you later. Pass in barrel 3, then 2, deliver the keg, rinse and repeat. Comment by 455620 Although some people are saying you need 550 tokens for Brewmaster, this is not true. In fact, you need only 350. Disturbing the Peace, (http://www.wowhead.com/?achievement=293) requires you to have 3 Brewfest clothing items. To purchase all 3 it costs 350 tokens. To save yourself from building up another,un-needed , 200 tokens for the Brew of the Month Membership (http://www.wowhead.com/?achievement=2796) , simply return all 3 clothing items to the vendor for a refund after completeing the achievment, and then buy the Brew of the Month Membership form. Comment by 183264 how many of them i can earn per day ? Comment by 24840 i can confirm that you can return the hat and boots for refunds. i only have 170 tokens after the first day, so i am unable to test if the chest pieces are returnable, but i'd assume they are. Comment by Supercool The new Brewfest tokens don't have as set duration, but similar to instanced items that disappear when you leave the instance, they have the words "Requires Brewfest," which leads me to believe they will automatically disappear exactly when Brewfest ends. Comment by vaad They say "requires brewfest" so dont expect them to last once the season ends. Comment by Kaliara I've only got 150 tokens so far, so only been able to test the hat and boots. I was able to sell both back for a full refund. Just remember you have a two hour timer to return the item. This will be in the tooltip and will not count down when you're logged out. So wait until you have 350 tokens, buy the outfit, do the achievement and return them ASAP.Edit: Tested the chest as well. Bought all 3 pieces, did the achievement, sold them back and bought the Pink Elekk pet. :) Comment by 321609 They're returnable? OH THANK GOD, I really want the before-mentioned pink elekk. Comment by 409036 today morning i netted 34 tokens as alliance while using the 2 barrels in the middle. While picking the barrel up i made a sharp 180 degree turn after i saw the npc throwing the barrel and ran directly to the apples back, jumped over it and directly to the next one. Jumping over again and ran to the right side of the turn-in, after getting next to the flag i made a sharp 180 degree again and saw a sparkle confirming the hand-in was sucessful.I messed up only once which was from lag when the ram didnt eat the apples, noticed quite fast and lost a total of ~5sec.The time ended while running back, so my guess is that its possible to squeeze 36 tokens out of a flawless run.update: today morning i started to skip one apple barrel more midway thru the race and netted 40 tokens out of it. So if you skip that one from the start you could easily get 44-46 tokens per race.So how it goes:You start the race and run to the first apples, then you run to the second ones and then get ready to pick up the barrel. Theres a little wall near the npc, you do a 120-180 degree jump-turn at the edge of the wall (that seems to be the maximum distance he gives you the barrel). After that you go directly to the first apple barrel while skipping the one you just took. With this shortcut you should save around 2-3sec. From the apples you run to the flag near the turn-in, do a 180 degree jump-turn and repeat from the start. From the second apples to the pickup npc and back to the first barrel should make your ram exhaust to around 80-90 stacks, so to be successful you just cant miss it, otherways you get instant exhaustion.Good luck with your races, im sitting at 235 tokens atm (missed the midnight start). Comment by silkfire Why are you saing 15+10? It's only 15, from the Barking daily quest. It's the only daily out there that gives you tokens, or have I missed something?Bark for T'chali's Voodoo Brewery! orBark for Drohn's Distillery! Comment by 210275 For Alliance it is possible to get more than 24 tokens from 1 ram race.I just managed to get 26, using the apple barrels at the road junction (by the sign post) and the barrel that is just slightly past the thrower in Kharanos. Ignore the barrel in the handin tent and the one just before Kharanos. Comment by 97688 to silkfireyou can do the "this one time when i was drunk" quest everyday for 10 tokens. Comment by Rhinomcd OHHHH thats why i couldnt find my tokens from last year Comment by Rhinomcd you forgot the defend brewfest from invasion daily. Comment by 364288 I personally have found 9 runs (Horde-side) to be quite easy, however haven't yet managed to boost those numbers up. We'll see if I can hit 10 or 11 over the next few days of the Brew Fest. I'm just glad we only need 350 tickets! Comment by 85389 This year they are also selling a pet pink elekk like the ones you see in major towns when coompletely Smashed! :)100 tokens Comment by 446366 I was gonna try the "buy all items needed for achievement, then returning them to vendor for a full refund" technique. However, I did try it for the summer festival achievements, and at the time, the vendor would ONLY accept back my most recent purchase. I would advice anyone attempting this to sell back the most expensive item first, in case they cannot return the rest. And on a side note, can anyone confirm whether you can return several items, or only the most recent one yet? (I'm still saving my tokens to buy it all at once.) Comment by 205920 You only need 350 of these to get the achievement. Comment by Hartge My personal best was 16 trips on alliance, messing up 1-2 times. I do not know if the lock summoning trick is still possible, but that would almost double your trips if you did it right. Comment by 409036 as far as ive seen it crusader does not speed up. Got 283% as speed on both my shammy and pally with galoppe. Comment by Turniphead Following these great ram racing guides I managed to get 30 tokens, I was about 5 seconds away from 32 but I had fatigued right at the start. It's possible to get 55 tokens a day from all quests.Edit: Just managed 34 tokens, on my run for the 36th tokens I made it to keg and halfway back before running out of ram. Didn't really faulter much, 36 maybe possible. Comment by Beaker I was able to get 16 pairs today, and I hit exhaustion once. Anyone able to get more than 32? Comment by Beaker Can anyone confirm if the 18 hours is a server time, or personal time? I've heard reports that it's server based. Comment by Vaziel Ive been about 3-10 seconds off 12 runs the last 3 days and thats usually because the goblin wont accept at least 1 turn in every time, costing me at least 4 or 5 seconds. My advice for Horde: * After spamming your way to gallop you only need to use the reins around once every second to maintain that speed.* Spam the reins quickly if near a barrel and am in no danger of exhaustion. Just so you never have to worry about dropping down a speed.* At gallop speed you gain exhaustion at a rate of 5 per tick. Ticks seem to be about 1 second. Im not sure how spamming effects it at that point but it does seem to gather faster when spamming. Test for yourself, but by this route and method Ive never been in any real danger of exhaustion.* Bind the reins to a key you can hit easily and run and steer by pressing both mouse buttons, makes this alot easier than clicking. Obviously, try running in as straight lines as possible and avoid too much turning.* Keep whatever bag has the first empty slot open so you can see if the barrel lands at pick up or disappears at turn in. usually takes about a second for the icon to pop up at pick up. If it doesnt, run back immediately. Same with turning in.* Do whatever you need to ensure you get the barrel buff. I try and land on it or bump up against it without stopping. if you dont see the exhaustion drop to 0 or 5, turn back and try again. Dont just go by the red "splash" effect...look at the debuff.* Always be aware of where all the barrels are. If you are ever in any real danger of exhaustion, head straight to the nearest barrel before anything else like turn in or pick up. Lay off the reins if need be, exhaustion gathers slower at the slower speeds. Remember theres a barrel a little behind the pick up goblin on the other side of the road from him.1. When you talk to the goblin, be facing towards the barrel behind the rock. As soon as you accept, start spamming the reins and running. Make a B line for the barrel behind the rock. Dont use the road. In fact, stay up in the orange dirt and avoid getting stuck where the terrain crops up from the road. 2. Be sure to get the barrel buff and head directly towards the pick up goblin.3. When you approach the Goblin, try and get a feel for how close you actually need to get, but dont push it. No fancy just spins or other method, a nice, tight U turn will suffice. You dont have to wait to see the barrel he throws hit you, just be sure the icon popped up in your inventory within a second of turning around. (Ive actually had the barrel he throws follow me all the way to the turn in a couple times when timed perfectly)4. Head straight back to the Barrel behind the rock again and be sure to get the buff. After that, line up with the front of the turn in tent and head straight there, hitting the reins once per second as before.5. As you near the tent, set yourself up to run through it, youll run almost right over the turn in goblin. 6. Behind the tent is a little "backyard" with some animals and a barrel. Hit that barrel. Try not tog get stuck on the fences there. Be ready to jump just in case. If your bag is open, you should see the barrel disappear from your inventory by the time you get the barrel buff. If not, run back thru the tent till it does and grab the barrel again.7. Repeat.edit: Jeez, I cant imagine getting more than 13 runs in without screwing up. How are people getting 16+? Comment by 424679 If your inventory is full while handing in a key the 2 token will be mailed to you (got 3x 2 tokens in mail since I just reached a 200 stack and there was no other place in my inventory) Comment by LexBlue Anyone else frustrated that they bought some of the clothing and ran around with it for a few days before realizing it could be returned for a refund? No pet for me this year, sigh. Moral of the story: Always check WoWhead first. :P Comment by Cerra The ram racing quest does reset every 18 hours but it won't show a "!" over Neill Ramstein's head after you've completed the quest the first time. Talk to him and read what he says.It doesn't reset with the daily quests. Neill warns you when you start the "quest" that you won't be able to do it again until tomorrow . If you dismiss the Ram, you're out of luck for the day. Comment by 268420 personally got 42 tickets, but im sure you can get more if you can find out the hot spots a little more clearly. main thing is not actually running up to the guy to get the brew throw at you, you can be pretty far as he tosses it to you. if you got a perfect run, you can return the brew while the "visual" is still flying at you. Comment by Rydiak Just got a 16-lapper in. Might have been able to get 17 laps in if I was a little more on my lines. Comment by 442443 Anyone noticed that the cap is at 199? I'm not getting any tokens now. So the 350 tokens ~> 3 parts and sell them ~> Brew of the month membership doesnt work for me. Comment by Kaliara Uh no, re-read it. He was saying you could get approximately 24 tokens per run, and multiplying that by two for two runs a day. But a blue post confirms that the CD is 18 hours, not 12 (check MMO champion). The idea is that you can only do it once a day, but they're leaving a bit of leeway for people with irregular playing times.Try doing the ram racing. 48 tokens (24 keg runs) is impossible. My personal best is 28 tokens (14 runs). I'm a little over-cautious, so you might get a couple more runs, but that's it. Comment by splyph I just got 16 turn-ins as well and could have gotten 17 if lag didnt hose me. I was just outside turn-in range on number 17 and dismounted. So 34 tokens from one ram race is definitely possible. Comment by 461155 At alliance side I got 14 laps and once didnt notice that I didnt get the keg and once got exhausted so maybe able to do 17-18 laps.Edit: Got today 18 laps and was 1 sec away from 19th lap and got exhausted 2 times Comment by NavySEALBrian I was able to get 42 tokens for the Alliance keg run. I've been running it on so many alts, I can't remember if the 42 token run was flawless, but I'm pretty sure it was. I used 2 apple bins on the way to pick up the keg and 1 on the way to return it. It's a high risk/high reward route. The route works like this:1) You start from the NPC2) Take the first bin next to the bridge, I jump right on top of it allowing me to walk right over the short wall3) Head straight for the next bin, you should run between a thick brown tree and a white thin tree right before the bin4) Jump right over the bin and turn about 30 degrees right in mid air5) Just after the bin are a group of trees you'll be passing (the trees should be to your left) and the group of trees after that you should pass to the left of them6) You should approach the keg tosser with the edge of the wall to your left (don't jump over or go around the wall), about a yard or two past this edge he tosses the keg7) Do a 180 instant turn, I turn the camera 180 before needing to turn (a few seconds before actually), and then right click for the toon to turn 180 (actually more like a 210 degree turn)8) Head straight for the bin next to the bridge, this means you go right over the hill and skip most of the winding part of the road9) Jump and land onto the bin next to the bridge (this is the most dangerous part, you'll have 85-95 exhastion)10) Head straight for the tent, don't use the bridge, just cut through the river and between the trees/banners11) There is a banner on the right (the small one, not the one that says BREWFEST when you cursor over it) about 10 yards in front of the tent, do a 180 spin about a yard past it12) Start back at step 2The hardest part of this technique is trying to catch and throw the keg at the farthest distance from the NPCs (this saves ALOT of time espcially if you do instant 180 turns, use the banner and the walls as refrence points). And since you're only using 3 apple bins round trip, you're shaving extra seconds per lap. Also, other than turning at the bins to align yourself for the next bin or the keg tosses, you're going in a straight line, there is no dodging trees, other than the one group of trees just before receiving a keg. I handed the last keg (21th keg) at the last second, so I had 30 more seconds left, but it would impossible to get another keg in). Using this route, you should be able to hand in a keg with only 40 seconds left assuming you do it perfectly. Anything less than 40 seconds on the buff is pretty much impossible to sqeeze in another keg. I've had the keg chase me all the way to the tent multiple times, if you see this happening, it means you're on the right track.ADDITION: Okay, I just ran a second very good run, lost around 5 seconds in terms of mistakes, only made 40 tokens. I'd go as far as saying 42 tokens may very likely be the absolute max you can get for the Alliance keg run. Comment by corners Just adding that getting 24 tokens on the rams is really hard. I can get 16 pretty easy maybe 18. Not sure if they have nerfed it a tad but i don't see how you can get 24 in one run because i mash on that button and get as close as i need to get to the beer chuckers and apple barrels.I know this is probably far fetched but has anyone noticed if mount speed enchants/talents/trinkets work at all to increase speed? Comment by PessimiStick That's because you're Alliance. 11-12 is the absolute max you can get as Horde. Comment by DrMrsTheMonarch I love a holiday that encourages both drinking and driving really fast. Comment by 88821 For Horde side at least, anyone suggesting they can get more than 11 returns (or 12 with extreme luck on shortcutting the barrel tosser the previous 11 runs) is lying. I've tried a couple different methods/ways of skipping barrels on multiple chars and consistently am only able to get about 1/3-1/2 way back for the 12th one regardless of the method/barrel skipped, cutting it to short sometimes results in no barrel being tossed and despite the few seconds of wasted time, still 11. Comment by corners Of course i bought the brew club, turned it in and literlly 5 min later was told about the ticket refund on items purchased. Grrrrr.... Comment by corners I can confirm that if you have less then 45 seconds when you start a new lap you wont make it in time to finish dropping off the barrel. Comment by xylotism Just did 15 laps on Alliance... with one more second I could have finished another one. I had to run back for apples at one point , and got caught on a couple things on the way. With no hiccups, you can probably get 17 laps max. Make sure when you're picking up/dropping off barrels, you use the mouse to turn so you can speed the process up. Easily shaves a few seconds on each run. Comment by Bloodygore On alliance, the daily keg running thing, I am able to get 30 tokens without problems... so it is possible like xylotism says Comment by 145057 Does anyone know if we'll be able to carry over our tokens from this year into next, or will our 2009 tokens disappear at the end of Brewfest? Comment by megamech109 All in all to get the Title you need:-One level 65-A few level 80 friends-About 10 Gold-352 Tokens-Some brains-Some Time*edited ... thanks :) :) Comment by 329137 I too found what seems to be the quickest way to run this, resulting in the most tokens (possible to do around 20 laps per). It involves skipping the second barrel on the way to the Keg giver, and just making a bee-line for him, then turning before you get to him and heading back to that second barrel. Then when you get ready to turn the barrel in, as soon as you get past the big tree in front of the receiver, turn and head for the bridge. By doing this, you're cutting down on time at both ends and in the middle, which adds up.So: 1. Turn in a keg.2. Cross the bridge and hit that apple barrel.3. Skip the next barrel and head straight for the keg giver.4. Head to the barrel you skipped, and "feed" there.5. Feed at the barrel just before the bridge.6. Repeat.Hitting only one barrel on the way to pick up the keg, and two on the way to turn it in, is the quickest route I've found without having to slow down to avoid fatigue.By cutting it short at each end (not running all the way up to the Dwarves who give/receive the kegs) you'll occasionally fail to transfer the keg, which means you'll have to turn around and hit the nearby apple-barrel, but most of the time this won't happen so overall, you save a fair amount of time. If you do have to hit the barrel near the NPC's, then you can skip the next barrel and make a beeline for the following one, making up most of the time you missed.Good luck! Comment by 35202 I don't know if it's maybe a tad harder on horde side, but I got 28 tokens (14 runs) today (I didn't count before), and that was with 2 times fatigue due to the apples not working. 30 should be easily doable.Edit: Now, after playing it safe (not skipping one basket on the way to collect the keg) I got 36 Tokens, about 3 seconds short to get 38. So, if you really wanna try hard, 40+ should be possible. Alliance side, that is. Comment by 78426 I use the same 2->3 & 2 barrel path that you do and I'm not too sure that it's possible to go over 21 returns with it. I usually get 20 returns myself and if I had 3 more seconds, I could get that last keg back. It is possible to also use a 2 & 3->2 path, but I prefer the prior because sometimes barrel 3 likes to be finicky and if it messes up with you on a 2->3 & 2 run, you can simply revert back to the slightly slower 2->3 & 3->2 run.Just a thing I wanted to note, the 180 degree turn-around is what I use, but people should be aware that it's very finicky. There have been times when I jumped and turned at the exact same point and didn't receive/return the barrel. Losing any time can cost you a return as each run takes around 40-42 seconds. One thing to be aware of when it comes to doing a 180... if you jump, you have to remember how jumping works in WoW. When you jump, your position is not updated until you land (in other words, you technically never moved until you landed). This is why it's recommended to never jump out of AoE zones in PVE, because you may still get hit. I use a jump 180 spin quite often and it might be what tends to cause me problems. From what I've heard from others, the highest amount possible to return is 23 kegs and supposedly (yet again, this is what I've heard) is that it requires switching between speeds. I can't tell you much about it, but heck... 18-20 returns (depending on luck :P) is good enough for me!Also wanted to note that I feel bad for Horde... I did the Horde keg run on an alt and my god... it's absolutely terrible! I thought the Alliance thrower/receiver were unresponsive at times, but the Horde ones are in a league of their own. I recall literally passing directly beside the turn-in NPC and he didn't even accept the keg. It seems their barrel 3 is also somewhat unresponsive like the Alliance one. Comment by icaros They disappear after zoning after Brewfest is over. Several hours of work trying to get enough to make it easier next year, right down the drain - and with no warning; no "Remaining days: xx". You can be a right bunch of bastards sometimes, Blizz. Comment by 663986 20 sept 2010 tryed buying the shoes to trade back for tokens cant be traded back anymore Comment by Wootbulle As of 3.3.5 Brewfest, you CAN'T sell back your clothing to regain the tokkens for brew of the month club. You need to get all the 550 tokkens. Comment by 539638 A note for anyone who wants *just* the Brewmaster title (for the Violet Proto-Drake achievement)The clothing items achievement is NO LONGER required for the Brewmaster title.Unfortunately I just wasted 50 tokens on my hat and can't resell to a vendor. Hopefully the pet and title are still obtainable. Comment by 301121 its so unfair that players in eu should miss on 40 tokens because of some opressive eu laws that the pink elek quest 'encourages drunk violence' Comment by 201738 36 for me seems to be my best average (Alliance). I only go for the two barrels in the middle (by the bridge, and in the trees), I do a spin-jump to get over the small stone fence in front of the keg pick-up, and I shoot for the Brewfest sign/flag (facing the keg drop-off) to the right of the big trees, doing a spin-jump to get past them. That seems to make them register a touch sooner, and I can usually shave a second or two off each route that way. Another good way to check your route vs. other peoples is to see how long it takes to catch up with someone going the same way you are - barring lag spikes/exhaustion, if your route's better than theirs, you should slowly overtake them. If not, keep an eye on what they're doing, and adjust accordingly. Happy hauling! Comment by 309027 Do the unredeemed tokens from this year carry over to the next year? Or do they disappear like the fire blossoms do? Comment by 560485 Well I just owned myself on WoW like I NEVER have before. The last night of Brewfest, I had 187 tokens. I figured the Ram Race would get me over 200 hundred tokens to allow me to purchase the “Brew of the Month”. I had my bag open to show my token progress. At the end of the run, I saw that I had 199! WTF? Oh well, I bought the stupid elephant pet and figured, “better luck next year.” (I started Brewfest late as I was out of town for a lot of it due to work.) Well guess what? Brewfest tokens stack in lots of 200. I saw later when I opened my bags that I had another stack of 2 tokens in a separate bag. : (…. That would have made my total 201. Not 199. I LOVE this game. But sometime the nuances of it can just suck! (Torridflame and his stupid little pink pachyderm that I wish I could F***ING kick IRL.) Comment by mritchey Brewfest ended and my tokens went poof! I hope they come back next year!In any event, one of my HORDE toons was able to earn enough tokens just this year to complete all brewfest achievements and purchase the pachyderm. It went down to the last day though. I made 11 ram runs once but usually got 9 or 10 unless I hit the wrong key and dismounted which happened more times than I would like to admit. Comment by paularcher24 comfirmed i did daily at 11.20pm and went back to do the protecting the barrels quest and this daily had reset with other dailies (i went back at 3 50am ) Comment by mekikya Blizz reset the quests, so if you did them the first day, you'll get a chance to get some extra tokens this year. Comment by urfurf I googled the original Blizz response from 2009:The Brewfest quests ‘Pink Elekks On Parade’ and ‘Catch the Wild Wolpertinger!’ were removed to ensure that World of Warcraft contains content that complies with regional game rating requirements. The key word here is rating . It means they were trying to keep their PEGI rating at 12+. It's not clear whether this was forced on them from outside or just a silly act of pre-emptive self-censorship. So this hasn't got much to do with any European laws, in any case. This is what a site called YouGamers wrote:It looks like political correctness and sensitivity has finally gone overboard. In a game where you end up killing thousands, participate in a (fantasy) war killing other players and where you actually have quests that involve torture, somehow seeing illusionary wolpertingers and pink elekks while completely smashed is not suitable by the PEGI rating system for 12+. There is some speculation that this is due to different wordings between ESRB and PEGI rating systems, with PEGI taking a harder stance on "simulated drug use", allowing for it only in 16+ rated games (and this bit where you see hallucinations when your character is drunk apparently qualifies). Comment by seahen 40 are contained in Keg-Shaped Treasure Chest, which you get for your first Coren Direbrew kill each day (available through the Dungeon Finder). Comment by cefm Since so much of this is dependent on ram racing, read the ram racing info page and notice that for 2011 the route has CHANGED in Ogrimmar, and instead of being on the road to the south it's out toward the docks. There's an apple barrel in the army camp on the way, so find it first, then plot your route accordingly. Comment by Vargur Since yesterday, I started to receive tokens from Kegs on all my characters. Surely must be 100% drop now. Comment by foxbuster As of September 27th 2011, the Keg-Shaped Treasure Chest now drops around 14-15 Brewfest Prize Tokens. Comment by hawke USER BEWAREThe "buy item then resell" for the achievement don't work as of patch 4.2, I just tried myself. I bought the slipper, the regalia and the head for the achievement where you have to dance in Dalaran, planning on selling them back so I could buy my subscription to "Brew of the Month" club. Was really disappointed to find out you CAN'T be refunded of the Brewfest items now. Watch out, Comment by Zapph Stuff new to 2015 you can buy with these from the usual vendors:Angry Brewfest Letter - 50 Brewfest Prize Token Brewfest Banner - 100 Brewfest Prize Token Steamworks Sausage Grill - 200 Brewfest Prize Token Stout Alemental - 200 Brewfest Prize Token Ancient Heirloom Scabbard - 300 Brewfest Prize Token Timeworn Heirloom Scabbard - 500 Brewfest Prize Token Total new collectibles: 500 Brewfest Prize Token Comment by BMHunterMain There are two items you can purchase with this currency that are not listed in the "currency for" section:Ancient Heirloom Scabbard for 300 Brewfest Prize Token, andTimeworn Heirloom Scabbard for 500 Brewfest Prize Token. These are heirloom weapon upgrades. The cheaper one upgrades an heirloom weapon to level 90 (which can also be done with much-easier-to-acquire honor points) and the more expensive one upgrades an heirloom weapon from level 90 to level 100. Comment by 1304315 Edited Sept 27, 2015; reached stack limit. The stack size has been increased to 500 for 2015.The max cost item last year was 200 tokens, this year it's 500 tokens. I expect that it is still set so that no item costs more than one stack. Comment by 1244786 If you plan to make an alt to farm these, choose alliance side: for Brew For Brewfest you can easily make 36-38 coins since the path it's shorter, it has natural markers (short wall and brewfest banner) for both the U-turns and it has only 1 obstacle that can stuck your character. For comparison, on horde side (even if you place a Lilian's Warning Sign where you have to make a U-turn to pick up the barrels) it's hard to reach 32 coins. Comment by 241354 Can you save Tokens for next year or do they disappear? Comment by Illy1 As of 2015 you can obtain between 65 and 80 tokens daily:1) Killing Coren Direbrew boss (Keg-Shaped Treasure Chest): 10-15 Brewfest Prize Token2) Dark Iron dwarf assault This One Time, When I Was Drunk...: 10 Brewfest Prize Token3) Bark for the Barleybrews! or Bark for the Thunderbrews!: 15 Brewfest Prize Token4)Brew For Brewfest: This quest actually lets you ride your ram for 4 minutes (check buffs) and the total amount of tokens depends on how many kegs you return, you get 2 Brewfest Prize Token and +30seconds to your buff for every keg returned.Following this route you should be able to turn at least 15kegs which is 30 Brewfest Prize Token. With practice, you will notice that you can U-turn before than actually reaching both "turn keg" and "get keg" points, you can easily go more, ideally 20. oh you can use this macro for reins /click ExtraActionButton1Go and try it :D Comment by boranbasar Maybe a little late for this year's Brewfest, but you can actually buy the Wolpertinger pet, and refund it for 200 tokens, and use 200 tokens for Brewfest Membership. Comment by 1367790 Brewfest currency disappeard from my main and my alts. Been saving up during brewfest for buying heirloom upgrades and mistook the time Brewfest ends for 10 in evening instead 10 in morning (was at work so not able to cash in at 10 in morning anyways). Im a bit surprised over how disappointed i am over that the currency disappeared, if i was able to at least hold on to it until next year, it would still be disappointing that i missed out on this year, but not feeling devastating bad.Why not have a timer on the currency or something...why not keep it as reedemable currency that could be used next year ...why not have a grace periode with a brewery able to cash in some tokens the week after the brewfest ends. There are so many options available to make this a better experience, so one may wonder why none of those options are used?Must really wonder why i play a game that makes me feel like an idiot more times than not.... Comment by HobDawgh Here's what's new in Brewfest for 2016:Coren's loot is now ilvl 810 Vendors sell new brews like Spirit Spirits. Throw food at friends with Throwing Sausage. Gravil Goldbraid's Famous Sausage Hat is a new toy that costs 100 Brewfest Prize Token. Synthebrew Goggles XL is a new pair of goggles that costs 200 Brewfest Prize Token. You can read more about this event and its content over at the Brewfest guide at www.wowhead.com/guides/world-events/holidays/brewfest. Comment by AlaskanDruid At the time of this post, this is a random drop. You -might- get tokens from the boss. you might not.So as of now, it is possible that you cannot get the 200 needed for the brew of the month. Comment by NessieMo During each day of Brewfest there will be either a Hozen, Alemental or Dark Iron invasion, in the Brewfest camp. This event repeats every 30 minutes, exactly on the hour and half hour. When the invaders have been defeated, one of these three items appears in front of the stage: Hozen Totem, Contained Alemental, Hozen Totem. These offer a simple daily quest hand in. This rewards Brewfest Prize Token. Following the event, the quest item does not despawn for five minutes after the event; during that time the quest may be done by anyone who has unlocked the Brewfest daily quests, even if they've not taken part in the invasion. For TomTom users, the location of the item that offers the quest is:/way Dun Morogh 55.54 37.64 Daily invasion quest item Comment by xLunacyx In one night I got 171 tokens and most of the achievements. Going to get 200 for brew of the month. (Got around 191 on a 2nd character on first day)My main mistake was getting off of the Ram early, do it for the FULL duration even if you get bored because you cannot do it again until hours later. If you want to buy 3 pieces to get smashed in dalaran, do it on a 2nd character since it'll cost another 350 tokens for the clothes. Comment by xLunacyx My personal record for the Ram Race is 15 kegs for a total of 30 tokens per run. You really gotta cut corners and go as straight as possible and turn back when you receive a keg as early as possible. I did it at Orgrimmar, not sure how it is at Ironforge these days. Most others get in the range of 10-12. Comment by TtlDimwit I was wondering if I could trade the tokens with real players to earn some gold? Comment by concordantnexus As of September 2022 version of the event, between Daily Coren runs, Barking for a Brewery, Hozen/Alemental/DireBrew lackey invasions, & running kegs, my alts are getting ~50-59 tokens per day. Comment by Incrediblz So the old world is left out for these? Other than the quests hub daily dungeon and the Dragonflight Inn's?Bit lazy if you ask me. Should be game wide like the candy buckets etc. Every inn put a barrel. (Blizzard but that constitures we actually do work and we don't like that). It will be much easier to use alts to collect the Brewfest rewards. Comment by Romanv The best method I find to be quick and efficient if you have multiple alts, is to complete the quests. You get approximately 150/160 guaranteed tokens per character. You can also earn extra tokens by completing the dungeon and collecting tokens from event bags. Comment by MrGiblets These are now Warbound. However, they cannot be mailed as they are limited time items. You need to put them into your Warband bank to use on other characters. They can be used from the bank to make purchases.
