Bricks and pavers are often reusable or recyclable. Do not put them in your rubbish or recycling bin.

Disposal options

  • Give to a friend or sell online.
  • Contact a business that specialise in the collection, recycling and/or reusing of bricks and pavers:
    • ACT Recycling Symonston

    • Canberra Construction Recyclers, Pialligo

  • If reusable, drop off free at Goodies Junction at:
    • Mugga Lane Resource Management Centre

    • Mitchell Resource Management Centre

  • Materials containing predominantly bricks and pavers can be dropped at the following Transfer Stations to be recovered (Fees apply):
    • Mugga Lane Resource Management Centre

    • Mitchell Resource Management Centre

Why?

The ACT Government aims to maximise resource recovery and minimise waste disposal. With increased building activity occurring within the ACT, sustainable waste management solutions are needed. It is better to reuse building and construction materials rather than put them in landfill.
