Buried In St. Louis, Rush Limbaugh Died A Year Ago Today - Audacy

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - February 17, 2022 is the one year anniversary of the death of well-known conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh. The Missouri native's grave is in St. Louis and his wife, Kathryn Limbaugh, says there's something special about where he was laid to rest.

She joined "Fox & Friends" to discuss her husband's life and career on Thursday. She was his fourth wife and was the one to announce his death last year on his national radio show.

Rush Limbaugh's grave, at the historic Bellefontaine Cemetery, has two benches on either side. Kathryn Limbaugh told Fox & Friends that's so people can still sit and talk with him when they visit. A man traveled from Tulsa, Oklahoma on Thursday to see Limbaugh's grave, according to UPI photographer Bill Greenblatt.

Kathryn Limbaugh said her "wonderful husband" was "larger than life," but that if he were alive today he would be very unhappy with the state of the country.

"I think he would be rather furious," she said. "He would be upset with the United States not being as strong as it has been and should be. I know he would say it's not time to panic."

Rush was buried in very private ceremony in St. Louis last year. The cemetery was founded in 1849 and is the final resting place of icons in St. Louis history like explorer William Clark, airport founder Albert Lambert, beer tycoon Adolphus Busch and others.
