2018-03-16 17:03:39Tags: Model : Hardware Version : Firmware Version : ISP : Hi! My Archer C7 V2 router has updated firmware, last version so I can enter to set USB 3G/4G. Preferred country Slovenia and mobile ISP is not available to choose so I have to use 3G/4G Advanced Settings where I have entered data within enabled Set the Dial Number, APN, Username and Password manually settings. Router does not connect to internet and displays status "Disconnected". And I am also having issue with WDS Bridging. Can set everything, but router doesn't connect to internet through mobile hostpot. I am using USB and hotspot tethering on my android phone successfully with other devices. So android does not seems to be an issue. I have also successfully WDS Bridge Archer C7 to Local ISP's Wi-Fi. It seems to me that Archer C7 firmware is not capable to support my goals with USB 3G/4G & WDS Bridging. Has anybody success with this task? How you've done it? Any help to troubleshoot this is highly appreciated. Thanks!

Re:Can't connect with USB mobile tethering on Archer C7, USB 3G/4G settings & also with WDS Bridging enabled2018-03-19 20:34:46no internet with 3G/4G usb modem can be caused by compatibility issue. it is hard to resolve it. wds bridging, did you input the correct password and check the wds status? it is run or not? for wds, we need to turn off DHCP on the C7

Re:Can't connect with USB mobile tethering on Archer C7, USB 3G/4G settings & also with WDS Bridging enabled2018-03-21 02:06:15Sorry Kevin, I do not understand what you mean with "
3 address or 4 address" ? I've used survey function to get MAC address if your thought was in such a context... Add. I have had success with 5GHz WDS. But only with wireless clients connected to Archer 7. Wired clients could not use internet... like it was some DNS issue. It looks to me that router have issues on both modes USB and WDS and can not be used with tethering from android mobile phone. My phone has Oreo OS installed. Will TP-LINK provide any EU firmware update with improved functions for mobile USB and/or hotspot tethering?

Re:Can't connect with USB mobile tethering on Archer C7, USB 3G/4G settings & also with WDS Bridging enabled2018-03-22 10:31:16Your main wifi is also a tp-link router or not? actually the wds may have incompatible issue between different routers, if you have no internet after the setup, you may check the IP address and gateway of the clients which connected to C7, if the gateway is your main router, it means the wds works, if not, the wds is not working at all
