Hi, it's been a while since I last did this heist, last time I chose to enter via the drainage pipe.

 

So I selected this same method again, I swam all the way there only to find that there's no yellow mark, I don't get the option to start cutting with the plasma cutter (And I completed all prep missions). Restarted the mission like 4 times, restarted the game, tried doing it on different sessions, but no luck.

 

Am I doing something wrong? Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Are you using the Kosatka or the Longfin? And did you select main gate or drainage tunnel for entry point?

 

There have been reports about the Longfin entry at the North Docks currently being broken, that may have something to do with it.

 

I have no trouble getting in with the Kosatka, and selecting drainage tunnel as entry, I'll try Longfin later and see what happens.

I got the same problem. Get the wrong weapons and shall enter through the main gate. No yellow circle at the drainage tunnel, even ive chosen it as entry point ( and cant choose anything else)

 

Tried it several times, always the same

I hope they didn't f*ck up the drainage entry. Did you guys did both the explosives prep, maybe this triggers a bug?

edit: Tried again, still happens. Pavel just says something like "the tunnel is right ahead, you will need to cut it open" a little bit before I arrive there, and once I do so, there's no way to start cutting...

You mean canceling? You might try Alkonost approach and land within the compound parametes, then get keycard.

Yeah, I tried the alkonost approach, when doing the second prep mission that is required to obtain it, it asked me to kill some people inside and outside a house, I did it, and after I killed everybody, it still asked me to kill them all... There was no one left. Another glitch... So I cancelled the heist and restarted.

No. But i think it has something to do with the backround Update from a few days ago.

 

I Set up the heist months ago ( Panther statue) so maybe the update mixed up something

Pretty sure its a bug. I was watching a Tylerious (I think) video and he had the same sporadic bug.

It’s a bug.  It also can be in addition to the primary target being spawned outside the gate to the compound.  Happened on 3 heists I joined today.  Not joining another until this sh*t is fixed.

When the mission starts check your loadout. If you have aggressor with no silencers, you're bugged and should restart. It's almost like the customisations you've made to the heist don't load.

  • dont think its a bug. im having bearer bonds as primary. just finished prep missions. normally equipment missions are  4 (demolitions, save code, fingerprint cloner and cutting torch) now there only three, no option to do the cutting torch prep, its locked. the drainage entry point dissapeared.

 

mayb there is a cooldown timer for doing the drainage entry

 

Most likely R* thinks were making to much and to easy gta money so they locked it

I had this happen once....We restarted and all was good.  It's not a cool down timer as mentioned above because it's the only entrance we take and we do them back to back to back without issue with exception of the one time.

Was wondering if when this occurred were you with a group of including yourself? I noticed that it does the same thing to me if I have three people but if it's just me and another person the yellow circle is there.

We had the same issue yesterday. First we forgot the cutting torch prep (I forgot the prep is needed lol...). If you havent done the cutting torch prep you can't just swim to the drainage pipe and cut it open (makes sense). But why is there no information about this when you choose the Kosatka as entry point? Can you find torches on the island?

Anyway we quickly did the prep and started again. Again the yellow marker on the minimap was leading us to main gate. But fortunately there was a yellow circle at the drainage pipe so we could enter that way.

Before you ask, no, the explosives prep isn't mandatory. Just steal the cutting torch first.

And no, you can't find cutting torches on the island, only bolt cutters. But those won't open the drainage tunnel, only the storages.

Oh, and I have never used or needed those either. Are they faster than the cutting torch for opening things?

Well, actually it was my friends heist and he was not aware that the cutting torch prep is needed if you want to enter through the drainage pipe. And I basically forgot that it was needed. When I prep my heist I just blindly run through the mandatory preps for my approach without really thinking about what they are good for.

Also we did not steal the explosives :)

 

I dont remember if I have ever used the bolt cutters but as far as I remember they might be a bit quicker for opening doors yes. Doesn't matter for me though as I usually only take whats inside the compound or in worst case Ill go to the docks on the escape route (if compound has not enough loot for two).

Had this issue multiple times the past few days despite resetting my session, game and console and still keep getting it. Anyone else notice it happening more often recently?

The most stable way to launch the heist is to get your players in your session and in your CEO outfit before launching it, I've never had a problem doing it this way. I think the corona bug here relates to how f*cked up these missions' sessions can be (I've played it with 4 CEOs before now).

 

If you don't get the corona you'll also have aggressor weapons without suppressors, suggesting some of the variables aren't loading in right.

Found the solution at least for myself, using the long fin rather than the kosatka. Was having major issues with the yellow ring appearing while using the the sub, but have been using the long fin and had zero issues since. Hopefully this helps others experiencing the issue.
