If your remote unpairs and you need to reconnect it:

  1. Move your remote closer to your Fire TV device, within 10 feet (3 m).
  2. Unplug your Fire TV from the power supply, then wait 60 seconds.
  3. Remove the batteries from your remote.
  4. Plug in your Fire TV and wait for the on-screen remote detection error message.
  5. Press and hold the Home button on your remote for 10 seconds.
Note: If you have seven controllers paired, remove one before attempting to pair another.
