13 Oct, 2017 @ 6:37pm Can voltaic cells or marrow bulb be bought? I don't think I seen either available for purchase, but I'm not sure. Anyone seen either available for purchase? I need a bunch and don't really want to go slogging through caves to mine 100 marrow bulbs. thanks, Last edited by swingline; 13 Oct, 2017 @ 6:38pm < > Showing 1-15 of 15 comments

And Marrow Bulb may be randomly in the last item list of a single NPC or trading device out of the space station, so yes, I don't remember having seen it yet but other similar materials or plants like Coprite or Aquaspheres are sometimes shown (rarely though) so in theory it should be possible. 13 Oct, 2017 @ 8:15pm 1500 plus hours of game play and I've never seen either for sale... But marrow bulbs are not just in caves... I always gather a few whenever I see them and store them in a container at the base. #2

13 Oct, 2017 @ 8:35pm I too have never seen either for sale. Marrow bulbs are available just about everywhere though. Almost always just outside of monoliths so close, I can shoot them from the monolith and collect a large share. #3

13 Oct, 2017 @ 8:38pm I'm lucky and currently have my homebase on a planet with HUGE caves with tons of marrow bulbs, I can usually get enough for 2 cells within a minute. #4

13 Oct, 2017 @ 9:12pm Thanks all,I just went ahead and went on a marrow bulb run. Picked up a little over a 1000 units of them. I'm going through a lot of them now in the later game as lots of things need voltaics. I went to a planet that I remember had nice open caves with lots of the bulbs so it wasn't too bad. I sortof wish I could grow a few on my farm to gradually stockpile. #5

13 Oct, 2017 @ 11:03pm I use lots of them because I leave a Nomad Geobay at every portal I find. I also put atmospheric processors next to portals. #6

15 Jan, 2018 @ 11:05am hold on - i found them, showed them to scientist, scannned them before harvesting, and thereis nothing beyond that, he keeps asking when I'm going to go get the cave marrow. If you could post a step by step procedure, so a dumb pilot like me can get on with this game? It's pretty boring if you can't advance. Thanks. #11

15 Jan, 2018 @ 11:54am This is one of the few areas in survival mode I find annoying - the harvest amount of marrow/kelp is half of normal mode. It takes a lot more time to collect what you need. #13

Originally posted by Heph/Nama:Lol 100 takes like 3 whole minutes. You use alot of the votaics later in the game, so alot are needed. #9
