Family Day Family Day is a statutory holiday in Canada that falls on Monday on February. This is applicable to some parts of Canada such as Alberta. Meanwhile, in Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island (PEI) and Saskatchewan -the holiday is called Louis Riel Day or Nova Scotia Heritage Day and Islander Day. The province of British Columbia (BC) observes Family Day on the second Monday of February.
