"Captain America: Civil War" will be out in theaters by next year, and ahead of the release, cast member Tom Holland shared how he sustained an injury while filming for the movie.

Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man in "Captain America: Civil War," sported a few scars on his face during the premiere of the movie "Jumpers for Goalposts." When asked about the scars, the young actor admitted that he was injured on set but explained that it was not the result of a movie stunt, but he retained the scars because of his own doing, according to the International Business Times (IBT) UK.

"No, no violence. It was my own mistake. I basically fell over and bashed my face in front of about two hundred crew members … " Cinema Blend quotes Holland's statement to HeyYouGuys about his injury. "… They'll probably just CGI out all the blood, and yeah, I was very lucky."

Holland also answered a question on whether his Spider-Man character would borrow a few traits from the other versions of the web-slinging hero. He acknowledged the greatness of all the previous Spider-Man versions and shared that he planned to "recreate" some of the things he loves about them, the report relays.

Tom Holland's character in "Captain America: Civil War" will be a younger and a newbie hero version of Spider-Man. His recent cuts and bruises will probably be incorporated into Holland's version of Peter Parker, who is still clumsy and inexperienced. The younger hero will be seen frequently beat up by villains and Parker will be struggling to hide the evidence of his fights from his Aunt May, who will be played by Marisa Tomei, the report details.

While there are still a lot of questions as to how Holland's Spider-Man will fit into "Captain America: Civil War," fans will have to watch the movie to obtain answers. The film will be released in the summer of 2016, but the exact premiere date is still unconfirmed.
