Introduction

Carrot Top is an American professional stand-up comedian and actor with an estimated net worth of $70 Million.

Before Wealth & Fame

After graduating from Cocoa High School in Florida, Scott Thompson was nicknamed Carrot Top by a local swimming coach because of his red hair.

In the late 1980s, he worked as a courier for a mortgage company while studying at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. As a freshman, he started performing stand-up comedy, and in 1991, he got his big break at Comic Strip Live, where Jerry Seinfeld started his career.

Comedy Career

After being discovered at Comic Strip Live, he performed on the television show Star Search before moving on to other projects. Carrot Top became the continuity announcer on Cartoon Network from 1995 to 1999, where he also hosted Carrot Top’s AM Mayhem.

He also starred in films, with Chairman of the Board being the only movie where he had a lead role in a feature film. While it was a box office bomb, he and Raquel Welch received Golden Raspberry nominations for their performances.

From 2001 to 2007, he appeared on Larry the Cable Guy’s Christmas Spectacular, Gene Simmons Family Jewels, and Criss Angel Mindfreak. On Comedy Central, he has participated in roasts of celebrities, including Flavor Flav and Gene Simmons.

Television Career

Starting in 1996, Carrot Top began appearing in the animated/live-action Space Ghost Coast to Coast on Cartoon Network. He also appeared in numerous sitcoms, including George Lopez, Family Guy, Scrubs, The Larry Sanders Show, and The Neighbors.

Alongside sitcoms, he became a staple of reality TV, showing up in many series from the early 2000s until 2021. These series include Gene Simmons Family Jewels, The Girls Next Door, The Bad Girls Club, and Bar Rescue. Carrot Top has even appeared on a few game shows, including Weakest Link, Don’t Forget the Lyrics, and Cash Cab, where he tried to raise money for charity.

Once established, he also landed cameo spots in movies, including in Zach Galifianakis’s The Hangover. He’s also appeared in Smiley Face, Last Call, Swearnet: The Movie, Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, and The Amazing Johnathan Documentary.

Other Ventures
