The service goals for case processing in the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI).
The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) has established service goals for most case types, i.e. maximum time limits on how long an applicant can expect to wait for a decision.
The service goal is calculated from the day the application is submitted and until a decision has been reached.
In the majority of the applications we receive, the necessary and relevant information has been included from the beginning, enabling us to reach a decision.
SIRI determines whether additional information or documentation is needed in order to reach a decision. If we need additional information, you will be notified as soon as possible. Otherwise, you will typically not hear from us until we send you a decision.
The service goals for processing an application vary from 1 to 3 months, depending on the type of application.
As an example, the service goal for an application for a residence permit as a researcher is 1 month. A complete application submitted on 1 August will be fully processed no later than 1 September the same year.
If SIRI has any doubts whether your salary and terms of employment correspond to Danish standards, we can ask experts in the field, e.g. one of the regional labour market councils, to assess your terms of employment. When this is needed, it may take us longer time to process your case.
Processing times can also be influenced by SIRI receiving an extraordinarily high number of applications, e.g. due to seasonal variations.
Here is an overview of the service goals:
