PilotEx08 P I have a 2008 Ex Awd I’ve been getting both codes for cats bank 1 and Bank 2 revelry the cle light has stayed on reading codes P0430 and P0420. I’ve replace both up and downstream O2 sensors in a few days the codes came back. Has anyone ever replace any of the bank 1 or bank 2 cats before?? Sticking with Honda or any aftermarket brands that would work? I’ve heard some aftermarket brands only last a year or so and end up having the same codes come back. #1 · Apr 9, 2018 I have a 2008 Ex Awd I’ve been getting both codes for cats bank 1 and Bank 2 revelry the cle light has stayed on reading codes P0430 and P0420. Sometimes, genuine really does work better. #3 · Apr 10, 2018 Replaced the front one by radiator with Honda parts on 12/2016 when I got code P0430 on my 06 EX Awd. Took me half a day to finished it because the bottom 3 studs. No problem ever since. #7 · Jun 18, 2018 ANY TIPS on removing radiator or fans or both or? any other tips on removing that front cat? I may replace the studs with actual bolts like I did the rear cyl. head cat bolts. need to replace that cat too. 0 Reply #4 · Apr 10, 2018 How many Catalytic converters are on the Pilot? 3 or 4? #5 · Apr 10, 2018 2 Cats #6 · Apr 10, 2018 2 pre-cats and one main cat #8 · Jun 18, 2018 I'd remove the rad just as insurance for not damaging it. It's not too hard. Why are you concerned about studs? Nuts come off real easy if heated to red glow with a torch. And if you replace them with brass nuts, those will never seize like steel ones do. #9 · Jun 26, 2018 I just removed the fans to gained access. Rest were easy except the 2 of the studs on the bottom were seized so I had to cut them with Dremel. Replaced with Honda original part so far so good. #10 · Nov 6, 2018 Did you use a manual or just eye it? I'm about to do this on my 06 and was looking for steps. #11 · Nov 8, 2018 (Edited) Assume you tried the over the counter cat cleaners ? Also driving at high rpm? #12 · Jul 3, 2020 i have a 2016 Honda Pilot with the code P0430 catalyst system efficiency below threshold B2. any idea how to fix this? #13 · Sep 17, 2020 Hi, I have a 2016 with same code.
