Refer to car user manual. Battery type and how to change is mention there. I

Joined Jul 13, 2014 Messages 29,938 Reaction score 3 going to shops to change a batt starts from 10$ or higher... buy yourself and change probably cost you 4$, for 10 new batts... :( open and check the batt model number. then buy it from the shop or online. hachi

Agreed, nowadays is easy. Energiser 2032 cost me $2.40. Go shop maybe 10-20. Your call. EJB

I used those cheap ones for toys or watches. Car remote I used engersier, better quality and don't leak as they got 10 life expectancy for battery. A leaked battery can kill your remote which cost hundreds. F

Lithium battery would not leak. Only those look alike battery but Alkaline type will. So becareful as many fake battery now a day. Same size, same model code, but when you look carefully, is Alkaline and not Lithium. Last edited: May 12, 2018 I

This I m not sure , it was not in the compartment .. actually my first new car I also misplace my manual after Afew years and I sold off without the manual too.
