How do I change the notification sounds for Eaglesoft Messenger? Eaglesoft - To change the sounds, replace the files that control the notifications. Environment: Eaglesoft, all versions
  • Rename the existing sound files. Go to Start | Computer. Image Select the location of, and open, the Eaglesoft folder. Image Open the Shared Files folder. Locate the files named logon and message. Image Right mouse click on each file and rename them to oldlogon and oldmessage. Note: It is not required to change both sounds. One or the other can be changed based on preference.
  • Choose new sound files.
  • Go to Start | Computer | (C:) Drive | Windows | Media. Image Preview each sound. Double-click the sound file. Once the desired sound file is found, right-click on the file and select Copy. Image
  • Replace old sound files with new files.
  • Return to C: | Eaglesoft | Shared Files. Right-click on any blank area of the Shared Files screen and select Paste. Image
  • Rename the new sound files.
  • Right-click the new sound file and choose Rename. Rename the new sound file to logon or message (depending on whichever is being replaced with the new sound.) Note: If the current sound name is followed by (.wav), the new sound name will need that also. (i.e. logon.wav).
