Channing Tatum has become one of the most consistent box office draws in recent years. The Alabama native famously got his start when he was discovered by a Miami modeling scout while working as an exotic dancer in Tampa. This led to music videos, fashion shoots, commercials, and television work.

His big-screen debut arrived in 2005 with the inspirational sports drama “Coach Carter”; he followed that with appearances in films as diverse as the dance sensation “Step Up,” the indie drama “A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints,” and the soldier story “Stop-Loss.”

In 2012, Tatum joined the elite group of actors who have achieved three $100 million-plus grossing films in one year, with “The Vow,” “21 Jump Street,” and what has become his signature project, “Magic Mike.” Tatum has also worked on big sequels such as “Magic Mike XXL,” “22 Jump Street,” “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” and “Kingsman: The Golden Circle.”

He turned in a critically acclaimed performance in the 2014 drama “Foxcatcher” and in 2016 brought his penchant for singing and dancing to the Coen Bros. comedy “Hail, Caesar!”

Additionally, Tatum has forged a creative partnership with filmmaker Steven Soderbergh, who has worked with Tatum on both “Magic Mike” films, “Haywire,” “Side Effects,” and the upcoming action-comedy “Logan Lucky.”
