La’Darius returned to Navarro for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 seasons and was featured on season 2. He told Dallas Morning News in January 2021 that he has acting aspirations.
“I want to act so bad, and I feel like it’s time for me to do that,” he said. “I’m going to be a film star. It’s just in my blood.”

Gabi returned for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 seasons at Navarro before becoming a student and cheerleader at Weber State University in Utah. She was featured in season 2.
“Because of COVID, they gave everyone one more year of eligibility and I watched Weber and they were just an amazing team and this year they came out with insane skills,” Gabi told HollywoodLife in July 2021. “So I really was intrigued and I wanted to learn more.”
She is also a social media influencer with more than 1.8 million followers.

Lexi Brumback
While Lexi was kicked off the team amid legal trouble during the 2019 season, which fans watched play out on season 1, Monica told Us in January 2020 that Lexi had returned.
“Her coach reached out to me and her mom and her grandmother, everyone wanted her back at Navarro, of course,” Monica told Us at the time. “I even said at the end of the series that I felt like that I still needed some time with her because she was doing so well. She did get into a bit of a trouble and that was all dropped. She did have to sit out in the fall semester and I felt like she had enough time to reflect on it and learn from it. She’s doing great and she’s really happy to be back here, and I can’t wait to see where she goes from here.”
Lexi, who was featured on season 2, returned for the 2020-2021 season too. The social media star has a YouTube channel and makeup Instagram account.

Monica Aldama
Monica competed on season 29 of Dancing With the Stars with Val Chmerkovskiy in 2020. Her memoir, Full Out! Leadership Lessons from America's Favorite Coach, was released in January 2022.
In April 2023, Monica was accused of covering up an alleged sexual assault. In a lawsuit filed by Madi Lane, the former cheerleader claimed Monica discouraged her from reporting the alleged 2021 incident.
Monica denied the allegations but was temporarily suspended by USA Gymnastics for six months amid an investigation. The lawsuit was eventually dismissed, and the investigation was closed in November 2023. One month later, Monica announced her plans to retire from coaching at the end of the semester.
The former Netflix personality made headlines again in January 2024 when her son Austin was arrested and charged on 10 counts of possession of child pornography. He was released on bail and his legal team denied the accusations.

Jerry Harris
After becoming a fan favorite during season 1 of Cheer, Jerry was arrested by the FBI in 2020 on child pornography charges. That December, he pleaded not guilty to seven felony charges — four counts of sexual exploitation of children, one count of enticement, one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of travel with the intent to engage in an illicit sexual contact with a minor.
After changing his plea to guilty in regard to two of the seven counts he was indicted on, Harris was sentenced to 12 years in jail following a July 2022 hearing.
