For some, June 13th is just another day, but for others, it is a birthday that feels more like a holiday or a national holiday.

Chris Evans turns 41 today, and he has a lot to be thankful for this year. Lightyear, starring Evans as the titular character who also happens to be the heroic inspiration for the Toy Story favorite, will be released in theaters in just a few days.

He'll be seen as Lloyd Hansen in the upcoming thriller The Gray Man next month, and he'll also star in the upcoming Apple TV Plus romantic comedy Ghosted.

It's an understatement to say Evans has a lot on his plate. He wanted to do something different with his career after stepping away from the shield as Captain America. Evans has been seizing opportunities that will benefit him and his career in the entertainment industry.

Of course, he's already played some iconic roles, and as we honor the man, the myth, and the legend on his birthday, we're looking back at some of Evans' most memorable performances.

Evans warmed our hearts in a role unlike any of his others, playing Frank Alder with the care and compassion that made the film Gifted a standout for the actor.

After his sister's untimely death, Alder assumed a fatherly role for his niece, Mary. It wasn't a role he expected to take on, but it was one he excelled at, even when he didn't. Being a parent is difficult; even when you have ample time to prepare, it is not an easy task.

Hugh Ransom Drysdale in "Knives Out" (2019)

Evans' performance as a snarky Ransom Drysdale was fantastic, with poise, sarcasm, and enough vulgarity to last a lifetime - or at the very least a year or two.

Evans plays the grandson of the murdered Harlan in Knives Out, a family-style murder mystery with a twist.

Colin Shea in "What's Your Number" (2011)

Evans shines as Colin Shea, a young woman trying to figure out where she's gone wrong in her relationships, in this romantic comedy.

When she's given a "statistic" that shatters her hopes for future relationships, she runs into her charming and eccentric next-door neighbor, who appears to have no qualms about relationships, especially physical ones.

Captain America/Steve Rogers in the MCU

It's impossible to make a list of the "Best of Chris Evans" without including Steve Rogers. When we first saw him take the stage in Captain America: The First Avenger, he won our hearts as he rose from a skinny Brooklyn boy to America's hero.

Buzz Lightyear in "Lightyear" (2022)

While the film has yet to be released, it's safe to assume that Evans and his fans will remember Lightyear. He adores animated films and Disney, and he is eternally grateful for his role as the space ranger in Disney/Toy Pixar's Story, which inspired the toy.
