Civil Process InformationThe Day County Sheriff's Office is responsible for the service of all civil and criminal documents, as well as warrants. The most common documents served by the Day County Sheriff's Office are Summons & Complaints, Garnishee Summons, Affidavits, Notices, Notice to Quit and Vacate, Protection Orders. Motions, Distress Warrants, and Executions. We also serve Subpoenas for civil and criminal cases. Legal documents received from the Courts, attorneys, and private citizens are also among the legal documents that we serve. All Civil Process papers are to be served as quickly as possible with due diligence and an aggressive effort to see that the papers are served.
