Manage Your Battle Deck

Don’t Attack First

The first thing everyone should know is not to rush when a war starts. Wait for the potion bar to fill, see what the next card is, then decide which troops to use and fight. While some may want to hurry up and attack the opponent right away, your best bet is to wait to see what they open and then respond with better cards. Sometimes I can catch the enemy off guard and attack early, but usually they play defense and wipe out any first wave. As a result, I would recommend waiting, getting on the defensive, and landing your troops and then attacking.

Not to mention waiting, it lets you know which side to attack from, which lets you drop a Barbarian Hut or structure to aid defense. This brings us to our next point.

While we’re on the subject, don’t leave soldiers in front of the enemy. They will fire first and deal more damage first. Deploy troops to the side so the enemy has to turn. While this gives you an edge, it also pushes your opponent away from your Towers, which of course is what we’re all trying to protect. Most of the time I will drop Minions in the middle and as they fly sideways the troops will chase them and die slowly, preventing my turrets from being damaged.
